Enterprise Development
Belarusian Automobile Plant, located in the city of Zhodino, specializes in the production of powerful dump trucks and special equipment based on these vehicles. The company has been counting its history since 1948. It was this year that the construction of a peat machine-building plant began in a small Belarusian city, which produced the first reclamation and road machines three years later. The automobile-building period for the company began in 1958, when it received its new name "BelAZ" and was re-profiled to produce heavy dump trucks. The first truck was the MAZ-525 dump truck, manufactured in the same year, with a carrying capacity of 25 tons, developed by the Minsk Automobile Plant.
First heavy trucks
MAZ-525 was produced until 1965, when it was replaced by a new heavy truck BelAZ-540 with a carrying capacity of 30 tons. The car stood out with its original appearance, different from the imageclassic dump truck. BelAZ-540 was equipped with a single cab located above the engine compartment, and a bucket-shaped body was mounted, which allows increasing the carrying capacity to 30 tons. Almost all subsequent models of the car factory had a similar layout.
The production of the BelAZ-540 dump truck with repeated upgrades continued until 1985, when it was replaced at the BelAZ-7522 assembly. The new car, due to its design, has become widespread not only in quarrying and mining, but also in various industrial enterprises. For example, for the transportation of technological materials at metallurgical plants, a version of the BelAZ-7522 was developed with a reduced ground clearance, which allows moving under numerous industrial technological pipelines. Also, on the basis of the novelty, a model was produced under the index 7526 with an increased load capacity of up to 35 tons due to a modified body structure.
Due to its successful design and characteristics, BelAZ-7522 was produced until 1991.

The car is equipped with a single comfortable cab, as well as a torque converter with increased efficiency. All these indicators, together with technical parameters and good maneuverability, expanded the use of BelAZ-7522.
