The history of the creation of the most compact amphibian
In 1949-1953, the former USSR supplied weapons to Korean patriots. During the negotiations, a shortage was revealed in the composition of the armament of the forces of light all-terrain vehicles for the transport of ammunition and the transport of the wounded.

In 1958, a special group of developers led by B. M. Fitterman was createdthe first prototype, which was named NAMI-049. Gradually, the design was improved, new projects were created, and in 1961 a new car appeared, called the LuAZ-967.
Cars were made at the Lutsk Automobile Plant.

Inconspicuous at first glance, the car had a lot of advantages, and the coloring in camouflage colors for it was an excellent disguise.
LuAZ-967 (TPK amphibian) with a leading edge conveyor was also used by the army of the former GDR. To this day, some copies can be found in the army of Ukraine. The car is widely used for moving cargo and transporting ammunition. In civilian life, technology has also found application.
