So, if a lead-acid battery is discharged, then sulfuric acid is consumed (in this case, the density of the electrolyte drops).

Now it's worth telling how this unit is designed. It is created by connecting negative and positive electrodes and separators (the so-calledseparating insulators). They are immersed in an electrolyte. The electrodes are lead grids. The negative ones have an active substance called sponge lead, and the positive ones have lead dioxide.
