For a more precise shifting of the gearbox, a short-stroke rocker with sequential transmission is used. Since the course of such a backstage is somewhat less, the switching is faster and more convenient. Such a short-stroke linkage is suitable for those who like to drive fast. To install it, you must remove the gearshift lever cover and knob. To remove the knob, it is enough to apply some force and pull it off, since it does not have fasteners. Now you need to loosen the clamp and remove the gearshift lever rod from the cardan. For this operation, a key of 13 is required. To remove the lever, you will need to release the ball from the spring mechanism (it is needed to engage reverse gear with lock). To do this, remove the retaining ring. It is strictly forbidden to pulllever arm. It is necessary to remove the retaining ring and the lever with the ball inserted into the plastic frame and the spring.

The plastic frame is presented in two parts - the upper cylindrical part and the lower one. The upper part with a cut should be put on the lever, and its ball should be inserted into the lower part. The top should clasp the bottom, while it is necessary that the grooves match. This design must be entirely kept on the lever. Now through the salon you can remove the lever with the rod.

The next step is to remove the gimbal. To do this, you need to pull off the rubber boot and unscrew the left bolt on the cardan shaft with a 10 key. The cardan from Priora differs from the Kalina cardan in the length of the stem. A short-stroke rocker, depending on its type, may require shortening the stem from Kalina. If you need to shorten the stem, then you should remember that you should saw off no more than 1.5 cm. Before installing the cardan from Kalina, you should apply a small layer of lithol. The bolt should now be screwed in, but there is no need to overtighten it.

Through the interior of the car we insert the rod. For this operation, an assistant is required: one person will hold the elastic through which the traction passes in the cabin, and the second will gently pull it.

Now you can start assembling. To do this:

• pull the rod on the cardan rod;
• to assemble the lever spring mechanism. Be sure to lubricate the ball with lithol;
• set the lever in a comfortable position, that is, to center;
• tighten the clamp on the rod.

If you failed to center the lever the first time, repeat the last two steps.

One more piece of advice: if you first assemble the spring mechanism, it may not be possible to put the rod on the gimbal stem due to its length. This problem can be eliminated if the cardan is shortened. Don't forget to put a duster on it.

The last step to take is adjusting the locking mechanism

reverse gear. A short-stroke rocker during fitting may require blocking - this is if the mechanism does not match the plate it clings to. To do this, you will need to remove the plate and adjust the engagement of the plate mounting bracket, which has a cutout. For this bracket, the mechanism engages. Sometimes it is necessary to modify the plastic hook with a file.

Now you can put on the gear lever cover and knob.
