First release features

The debut models of the Ford Probe turned out to be sporty and aggressive. As standard, there were still disc brakes (on each wheel), ABS, turbocharged compressor. The LX and GL versions had a stricter body, soft suspension, narrow tires and an automatic transmission. This model featured an advanced ECC-IV motor control system. The power unit produced 140 horsepower. Interestingly, 80% (!) of torque was gained at 1000 rpm - and this is an excellent indicator. Two years later, in 1992, the motor was finalized. It has become a little (by 5 hp) more powerful.

Second Generation

In the 90s, the developers of the Japanese-American concern began to think about what the second generation of the Ford Probe car would be like. The work was in full swing. It was planned by 1993 to present to the attention of the public a completely finished novelty. The same 626 Mazda was used as a platform. Now the developers of "Ford" are engaged in design, and Japanese specialists have begun to improve the chassis and engine.
