Methods of cargo securing

In the process of securing the load, one of three methods can be used:

• clamp;
• stretch marks;
• blocking.

Due to the clamping method, the frictional force between the base of the body and the load itself is increased. It is carried out with the help of belts, ropes or cables. Securing the load is quite simple: you need to throw the clamping straps over the load, which is placed on the platform, and attach it with a stretch at the edges of the side. This method is convenient and very common, but not the most reliable.

The bracing method has a higher level of security. Attachment requires four high-quality straps and the same number of staples that hook onto metal staples, providing a secure fit. Unlike the previous method, much less straps are used here.

Mounting by blocking is that the load must be closely adjacent to another load or to specially placedstructures that rest against the sides. This prevents it from moving horizontally. The amount of cargo should not exceed the edges of the sides, otherwise it is necessary to take care of reliable fastening. The only disadvantage of transporting flatbed vehicles without a tarpaulin is that the cargo is not protected from possible damage by adverse weather conditions or dirt.

Airborne cargo transportation is perhaps the simplest and most widely used type of transportation. When transporting cargo with an open side body, you have free access to it, which simplifies the process of loading and unloading. If necessary, you can use the crane. The cost of operating flatbed trucks is much lower compared to transporting containers or euro trucks.
