The car was made in a sporty style, in its interior there were Recaro sports seats, as well as a sports steering wheel, climate control and other equipment.
Firstgeneration
The first generation Audi S3, which appeared in 1999, was equipped with a 1.8-liter turbo engine, and the power of this engine reached 210 horsepower. In addition, a six-speed manual transmission was installed in the car.
Thanks to this engine, the car accelerated to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds, and the maximum speed it developed was 250 km / h. A few years later, the S3 was upgraded, after which the engine power increased to 225 horsepower. Until 2003, Audi produced 32,000 first-generation S3s.
Second Generation
Already in 2006, at the Paris Motor Show, manufacturers introduced the second generation of the Audi S3. In the same year, the new A3 was also released. S3 differed from her lower and stiffer suspension, enhanced brakes and a more powerful engine. In addition, there are new and improved so-called sport settings for the electric power steering and stabilization system.
This car had a two-liter engine with direct injection and turbocharging under the hood. The power of the car was 265 horsepower, it accelerated to 100 km / h in just 5.7 seconds, in addition, a six-speed manual gearbox and four-wheel drive were installed in the car.
This model was originally a three-door, but in 2008 a five-door version was released. As an additional option, a six-speed robotic preselectiveS tronic transmission.
This year was marked by the appearance of the model on the Russian market. This Audi S3 was produced until 2012.
Third generation
The third generation of the S3 was unveiled at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The first body style was traditionally a hatchback, but it was in the third generation that other types of bodies appeared, such as a five-door hatchback, a sedan and even a convertible.
Externally, the 2013 S3 differs from the A3 with a grille, front bumper, side skirts, spoiler, chrome trim on the rear-view mirror housings and 18-inch wheels.
The interior was also updated with brushed aluminum inserts, a sports steering wheel and seats, gray dials and S-shaped logos.
