In 2011, these prototypes were tested in practice, and based on the resulting indicators, requirements for the finished model were formed. It is necessary to emphasize the fact that it is not worth comparing the cars of the Tiger, Wolf and Lynx families and the Scorpion 2M car. The mass of new vehicles is much less, that is, their weight category is completely different. And in terms of characteristics, it is in no way inferior to analogues of the Western assembly.

Capacity

Military demands that the car had high off-road capability. It is appropriate to note here that the Scorpion 2M car can carry 1085 kg. The total mass of unarmored vehicle modifications, which are designed to be used as a light assault vehicle, is 3500 kg. In the future, the chassis of the Scorpion 2M model will not be upgraded. They were designed for a total weight of 5500 kg, with an eye to future armor protection weighing 700 kg in class 5 and another 200 kg in class 6A. Zashchita also made an independent suspension in a new vehicle with a ground clearance of 310 mm. The Scorpion 2M model vehicle is equipped with a 4-stroke Andoria 0501 ADCR engine running on diesel fuel, complete with turbocharging and intercooling of air, with a volume of 2636 cubic centimeters. This contributes to high traction performance. Motor power reaches a maximum mark of 100 kW. The engine is equipped with an Eberspecher preheater. All equipment provided on the machine belongs to Russian production. Polish firm Andoria-Mot Sp. Z o.o., based on the license agreement, will produce engines on the territory of the Russian Federation. The manufactured products will become the main for the armed forces of our country. At the moment, the manufacture of the engine is fixed at the stage of SKD assembly. If the Scorpio is still used in the Russian armed forces, then large-scale production will be launched. It assumes 100% use of engines. Thus, Zashchita Corporation will service the car for ten years and is ready to take on the disposal of the vehicle. The car is capable of speeds - 130 km / h. But when driving on off-road surfaces, these figures are reduced to 60-80 km / h. This car consumes 14 litersfuel. The developers created two seventy-liter tanks in it. At the same time, it is possible to transfer fuel if one of the tanks is damaged.

In order to fully test and verify all the characteristics of the car, about 80 laboratory tests were carried out on it, where it was weighed, measured ergonomics and tested in the most severe weather conditions. Three types of car were checked in the Moscow region. The first "Scorpio 2M" has an open roll cage. Weather conditions allow you to equip it with a soft insulated awning. The next type of vehicle has a rigid body. It is equipped with 5th class armor. The above vehicles are capable of transporting 8 military personnel with full uniforms. The curb weight of the third car "Scorpion LTA" is 4500 kg. This vehicle is designed as a light tactical solution that is highly mobile, passable and reliable.
