In 1999, the presentation of the new Mitsubishi Pajero car (3rd generation) took place. Immediately after the debut in Japan, the serial production of this brand was launched. Three years later, the company carried out a restyling, but not deep. Basically, the changes were limited to updating the appearance. In 2006, the Pajero 3 assembly was discontinued in favor of the fourth generation.

The Pajero 3 model is a big enough car. This type is suitable only for those who prefer large cars. Its exterior is very attractive and, it is worth noting, is still relevant. In the front, a voluminous bumper immediately catches the eye. On its sides are round foglights. The optics of the head light resembles a rectangle, but with smoother lines. The radiator grill is made in the form of an inverted trapezoid. The company logo flaunts in the middle.

What do we see in the back of the Mitsubishi Pajero 3? First of all, a large tailgate. It flaunts a spare wheel, slightly shifted to the right, and on the left is a license plate. The bumper is small. It has rectangular and rather narrow feet on the sides. Slightly above the headlights, they are extended from top to bottom.

Now it's time to look into the salon. The first thing I would like to immediately note is the spaciousness. The seats are quite comfortable in all rows. The rear sofa has a division into a single and double chair, which is why it will be quite comfortable for three adults to fit on it. In the seven-seat model, the third row of seats is a little cramped.

The luggage compartment has a minimum volume of 215 liters, but it can be significantly expanded with rear seats. If the second and third rows of seats are completely removed, the capacity of the cargo compartment increases to almost 1800 liters.

As for the control panel, at the moment it is difficult tocall it multifunctional. The steering wheel is not equipped with buttons, some of them are located on the driver's door. Multimedia systems are limited to the base radio. Those cars that were intended for sale in the Arab countries had two air conditioners in the kit. One functioned taking into account the blowing of the front seats, the second - the rear. And the copies produced for the domestic market were equipped with a stove instead of a second air conditioner.

Pajero 3 engines

"Pajero" (third generation) was produced with petrol and diesel units. The line of the first was represented by installations for 3.0-3.8 liters. The power they provided ranged from 173 to 208 "horses". Russian buyers could only purchase a car with a V6 engine with a volume of 3.5 liters. It provided 202 hp. However, it is worth noting that the installation turned out to be quite demanding on the quality of gasoline, so it caused a lot of trouble for the owners.

Diesel engines installed on the Pajero 3 (the price of such models is currently about 500 thousand rubles) are also represented by several modifications. The line includes installations from 2.5 to 3.2 liters. In comparison with gasoline units, they show less power (105-165 horses). Their disadvantage can be called the same problem that gasoline engines have - the requirement for high quality fuel.

There are not so many cons in the car. First of all, it is expensive maintenance and high price for spare parts. Some drivers also note the poor performance of the "climate control" system, which malfunctions in severe frosts.
