We all use phones, players, flashlights, the operation of which depends directly on the battery. Even children from the earliest years know these little boxes, without which their toys do not sing and do not move.

One can safely call the battery the heart of any electrical unit and, as a result, this element should be treated quite responsibly. Maintenance of a battery for a phone, a flashlight or children's toys is quite simple - the charge has run out, so you need to recharge, and that's it.

Maintenance of a car battery will not be treated so simply. He needs careful care and supervision. Otherwise, you are guaranteed to be in an unpleasant situation when only remarkable force or outside help can move your beloved car from its place.

Well, one more of the tasks that is relevant for injection engines is the equalization of the voltage coming from the generator. In principle, if we exclude a factory defect, then the battery will not require any attention. It is worth noting, however, that its operation is actively influenced by operating conditions and malfunctions in the operation of the car, they can lead to a malfunction of this device.

First of all, battery maintenance is a banal control of the electrolyte (special liquid) level. It should be clearly understood that timely measures taken are already half the battle. In the case when the electrolyte level is below the mark, it should simply be topped up to the correct level. If the body of the unit is transparent, then the minimum and maximum levels are most likely written on it. If the case is opaque, then it is worth unscrewing all the covers of the block in turn and checking the level with a special tube (sold along with other battery maintenance devices). The level should be between 10 and 15 mm.

Maintenance of a car battery should be carried out with extreme caution, since you have to work with especially dangerous chemicals (sulfuric acid is included). Those places where the liquid has been spilled should be carefully rinsed with plenty of water. The next thing to do is to check the density of the internal fluid. This should be done within two hours.after topping it up with an aerometer.

Battery maintenance includes recharging. Before the procedure, you should remove the battery from the car, connect a special charger, unscrew the covers from all the blocks. During charging, take precautions, check the temperature of the electrolyte and its density. Adjust the current according to the battery capacity.

Regularly check the device for integrity. There should be no cracks or bulges on the body. Servicing the battery also requires a banal wipe from accumulated dirt and dust. Check its condition every 15,000 km, this will help you save money and not be in a stalemate.
