A tachograph is a device that registers important parameters of the movement of a certain vehicle - speed, time and distance. This information allows you to control the main characteristics of the work of a truck driver - compliance with the regime of work and rest, speed of movement, following the route. What is it and what does it look like

A tachograph card is the usual "plastic" with a microchip. It identifies the driver when using cryptographic special means. A driver card for a digital cartographer allows you to read from this device data on his following a route, a given speed mode, work / rest.

Depending on the type of device, the production of driver cards for the tachograph is divided into two areas:

• SKZI - for those working on the basis of a cryptoprotective navigation module. Conform to the requirements of the Technical Regulations "On the safety of wheeled vehicles".
• AETR - for vehicles that comply with the European Agreement on the work of the crew of the vehicle, making international deliveries of goods.

On the reverse side, the mark is the letter "E". Another card numbering system - starts with an abbreviation.

Since 2014, there has been a clear regulation on the use of the submitted driver cards for the tachograph: CIPF under the control of the FSB of the Russian Federation - domestic routes, AETR - international transportation.

The right to issue a card

They have the right to issue a personal card for the tachographonly the following drivers:

• Not having such a "key" (rule: one driver - one card).
• Residing in Russia during each calendar year for at least 185 days.
• Having a category of rights: C, D, E.

• Age a certain age:

  • 18 years old - driving a vehicle, the maximum weight of which is not higher than 7.5 tons.
  • 21 - other vehicles, as well as those employed in passenger transportation. For the latter type, it is also necessary to have at least one year of experience in driving trucks with a maximum weight of more than 3.5 tons, or the same experience in passenger transportation.

The card is issued as a standard for three years.

Obligations of the driver

The driver card for the tachograph imposes certain obligations on its owner:

• He must have only one card and keep it with him at all times while moving along the route.
• At the request of the authorized inspection, it is necessary to present the card for control.
• Periodic uploading data - the process does not take more than 10 seconds.
• After the expiration date, replace the card.
• In case of loss of the "key", immediately report the incident to the responsible organization.
• When changing the place of residence, take care of changing the card.
• Report malfunctions or damage to an electronic document in a timely manner.
