Bevel gearbox - this is the name of the mechanism that is connected to the electric motor and the working machine. Gears are located in its body, fixed in a stationary state on the shafts.

The bevel gear is used to increase the torque of the other when transferring to one shaft. It is usually at a right angle.

The parts of his body are exposed to the forces of the machine that does the work. That is why steel and cast iron are used in its manufacture. Light alloys are rarely used. The parts are made in a complex form - this is due to the way the components of the assembly are located in relation to each other. Brackets, flanges and covers are attached to body parts.

Bevel gear has a whole host of advantages. The upper parts of its cover, for example, have horizontal surfaces, and this allows them to be used as technological bases. The base of the body of this part is smooth, the paws are of high strength and insulated. Their shelf life is very long because the volume of oil is quite large. The vibroacoustic properties of this part are improved due to the fact that the body cover is very pliable, and the base is rigid. They warp lessaging, which is why oil leakage does not occur. And one more thing - the bevel gearbox has lightweight external processing. This is also an important factor in the functionality of the mechanism.

It is also worth touching on the topic of how the bevel gear is assembled.

Before its assembly, the internal cavity is thoroughly cleaned and covered with oil-resistant paint. Then, an oil-retaining ring is mounted on the drive shaft, and a bearing is mounted on the shaft. Then a glass and a spacer are put on, after which - the second bearing. You also need to install a multi-blade washer and bushing. Then a key must be laid in the driven shaft, after which the spacer sleeve and bearings are installed. Then the assembled shafts are placed in the base of the gear housing, a cover is put on it, which must first be coated with alcohol varnish. The next step is to put grease in the bearing chambers and put the bearing caps and metal gaskets for adjustment. Then you need to install the covers, then check the rotation of the shafts and make sure that the bearings do not jam. Everything is fixed with screws. The oil drain plug is screwed in next. Then you need to pour oil into the housing and wrap the control plug. This is how a single-stage bevel gearbox is assembled.

So, we got acquainted with the assembly process, with the purpose too. Finally, I would like to note what positive qualities a bevel gearbox has. It is noiseless, compact, durable, reliability, as well as trouble-free operation - even when the speed is too high.

The reducer can be vertical or horizontal - depends on the need. Bevel wheels (applies to a single-stage gearbox) are almost always made with a curved tooth profile. This is justified by the fact that the first stage takes on large linear and angular speeds.
