"Infiniti FX35" is a spacious off-road vehicle designed for those who are accustomed to lead an active lifestyle.

Its first prototype was presented in 2001, and the second, as close as possible to the serial version, appeared in 2002. The official premiere of "Infiniti FX" took place at the Detroit Auto Show 2003. In the same year, its mass production started.

Appearance

The model is built on the FM platform, also used for the Infiniti G35 and Nissan Skyline. Interior

In the interior of the "Infiniti FX35" there are black leather armchairs, which are distinguished by excellent ergonomics and convenience. Massive pillars, a sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals and gear lever are elements that create a feeling of luxury and versatility. The center console features an exclusive analog clock, while the instrument panel features chrome-rimmed dials inspired by chronometers.

The instrument panel is designed as a separate unit, providing the ability to adjust the angle of inclination together with the steering column. This is done by means of an electric drive with a memory function. The multifunctional three-spoke steering wheel also deserves attention.

Basic equipment includes electric seats, mirrors and windows, as well as a climate control system and a 13-speaker Bose audio system.

Engine, transmission, suspension

The FX series includes two models: "Infiniti" FX35 and FX45. The first is equipped with a 280-horsepower V6 engine with a volume of 3.5 liters. It includes an aluminum block, four valves per cylinder and a special valve timing system. The second, respectively, will be equipped with a 4.5-liter engine with a maximum power of 315 hp. s.

Both powertrains provide high traction at almost any speed. They work together with one transmission - a five-speed automatic transmission with the ability to shift gears manually.

Car owners left both positive and negative feedback. The Infiniti FX35 had only rear-wheel drive as standard, while the FX45 had all-wheel drive. All-wheel drive for the FX35 was only offered at an extra cost. In addition, many motorists did not like the big appetites of the engine, which is why many negative reviews are associated. The Infiniti FX35 had a standard suspension design, as for its class: independent MacPherson struts in front, and a “multi-link” in the back. A sports suspension was also optional.
