Infiniti cars have long been considered an attribute of a successful person. The original and luxurious exterior helps to stand out from the general flow of boring Audi, BMW and Mercedes.
The FX series was first restyled in 2006, and the second generation of this line of models was demonstrated at the Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 2008. In the autumn of the same year, the Infiniti FX37 became available in the showrooms of official dealers of the Japanese brand.
Exterior
The body design of the Infiniti FX37 combines the features of an SUV and a sports car. The sloping roof speaks to the car's high aerodynamics, as do the 21-inch wheels with low-profile tires and diffusers located behind the front wheel arches.
The luggage compartment is still considered the weak point of the updated Infiniti: its volume is insignificant 376 liters, which is a ridiculous indicator for a very large Japanese crossover.
Interior
The interior of the Infiniti FX37 is strikingly different from the interior space of ascetic German cars or conservative American ones: the interior is so luxurious and representative, which even seems indecent. Given the average price tag for this car - about 80 thousand dollars - the salon fully meets expectations.
Infiniti FX37 owners in their reviews note the following trim elements typical for sports class cars:
- Sporty-style leather seats feature enhanced lateral support.
- The steering wheel is adjusted using a special joystick and an electric drive that changes the position of the steering wheel vertically.
- The Infiniti FX37's three-stage ventilation and seat heating system maintains the optimum temperature inside the Infiniti FX37 for a more comfortable ride.
- The front and dashboard of the car are made in a classic style of high quality plastic. Genuine leather was used for the gearshift lever and steering wheel.
Despite all the advantages and a truly luxurious interior, there is a disadvantage in the interior of the Infiniti FX37: the lack of back support in the seat design. Simply put, during a long trip, not very comfortable seats with no lumbar support can provoke pain in the back.
Specifications Infiniti FX37
The car is distinguished not only by its luxurious interior and beautiful exterior, but also by its good technical equipment. Acceleration to the first hundred is carried out in less than sevenseconds, which for a very large Infiniti seems to be an excellent result. The car is responsive, follows the steering wheel with ease and stays on course with good stability when entering tight turns at high speed.
This behavior of the FX37 is largely due to the seven-speed automatic transmission and 3.7-liter gasoline engine. Excellent dynamic performance, however, entails a considerable consumption of both fuel and engine oil: Infiniti FX37 consumes about 20 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers in the urban cycle. In mixed mode, on a relatively flat track, the crossover's appetites can be reduced to 10 liters.
Packages and prices
Russian official Infiniti dealers offer the model in several configurations at once, each of which is equipped with a proprietary option - a sports brake system. The top-end Hi-Tech and Elite variants are equipped with the AVM surround view system, sports suspension, DCD system and luxurious sports seats. The minimum cost of the Infiniti FX37 is 45 thousand dollars.
CV
The Japanese Infiniti FX37 is a luxurious and by no means cheap car designed for those who love status things and know their price. The model is suitable for lovers of high-speed driving and those who want to demonstrate their own success. Infiniti has a beautiful exterior, luxurious interior and excellent technical characteristics, coupled with good dynamism andmanageability.
However, the Infiniti FX37 also has its drawbacks: some car owners note that a more efficient braking system would be suitable instead of the standard one for such a dynamic crossover. Weak brake pads heat up quite a lot during heavy braking, resulting in a return to the steering wheel. Despite this shortcoming, in other respects the Infiniti FX37 is beautiful and definitely worth buying.
