June 24, 2015 at the Alfa Romeo Museum, which is located near Milan, the presentation of the flagship D-class sedan called Giulia took place. The car named "Julia" is not the first time produced by the brand "Alfa Romeo". Back in 1963, a car called the Alfa Romeo Giulia SS replaced the Giulietta SS. The cars were similar to each other, and the difference in names became a mere play on words, since in Italian the two names are synonymous. Therefore, the heroine of our story is often called Alfa Romeo Giulia II, remembering her ancestor.

Appearance

Italians love to surprise fans with the extraordinary design of theirauto. This time they did not change traditions and made a very spectacular and memorable car, the appearance of which consists of strict and clean lines. The car looks slightly menacing thanks to aggressive lighting, muscular bumpers, a powerful stern with a large diffuser, a spoiler and a quartet of exhaust pipes.

The combination of the branded triangular radiator grille and the huge sinuses of the air intakes looks great. Two edges on the hood emphasize the car's desire for speed. The body has a slightly elongated shape, and the side stampings run parallel to the windows. All this creates an inimitable image.

Unfortunately, only the top modification of Alfa Romeo Giulia will receive such a charismatic appearance, while the basic versions will look more modest. With its dimensions, the car fully corresponds to the D-class by European standards.

Inner Peace

Alfa Romeo Giulia sedan looks no less spectacular from the inside. It does not look like its predecessors, but there are some similarities. The multifunctional steering wheel immediately catches the eye thanks to the large red engine start button. The dashboard looks very impressive, it consists of a pair of wells and a color display. The front panel is also very interesting and elegant. Looking at the center console, one involuntarily recalls a BMW - it is slightly turned towards the driver. This arrangement once again emphasizes the sporty character of the car and the importance of the driver who sat behind the wheel. The console has a fairly large display of the multimedia complex andthree climate control washers.

In general, the interior is very ergonomic and practical. Thanks to a wide range of driver's seat adjustments, excellent visibility can be achieved. The steering column can be adjusted in height. And in the event of an impact, it automatically folds. The luggage compartment has a volume of 378 liters.

The interior of the Alfa Romeo Giulia is made of quality materials - natural leather, aluminum and carbon inserts, as well as solid plastic. The front seats are striking with large side support rollers, once again reminding the Italian of the sporty character. Since the car is equipped with rear-wheel drive, there is a rather large tunnel in the center.

Under the hood of this eccentric car is a gasoline V-shaped aluminum engine with six cylinders and three liters of volume. The engine has direct injection, twin turbocharging and technology for deactivating some of the cylinders at low loads. The engine develops 510 horsepower. Less powerful versions of the car are likely to get a less powerful braking system.

Among the many advanced features of the new Alpha, there are a few particularly interesting ones. Firstly,Torque Vectoring system, which directs traction individually to each of the wheels. Competitors

The Italian novelty has two main competitors. The first one is the BMW M3. This car is slightly similar in appearance to the "Julia": elongated headlights, a large grille and solid air intakes. In terms of equipment, the Bavarian is also strong. In the basic configuration, it has many modern options. The trunk of the BMW M3 is much more spacious than our heroine's, its volume is 480 liters.

The second competitor of "Julia" is the car Audi Q5. The exterior of this car looks more modest, as well as the interior. But this conservatism hides excellent driving performance. The trunk of this car is also admirable, its volume is 540 liters.

Alfa Romeo has the following trump cards in the fight for a buyer:
