It has been eight years since the German company Audi announced the release of the luxurious Audi R8 sports car. The novelty of German engineers entered the podium with two variants of the "heart". The first engine is a V8 engine with a direct injection system, the second isV10 version, characterized by a dry sump lubrication system. Either option was equipped with two modes of active shock absorbers. And, of course, to the delight of fans of tracks and racing, this powerful charismatic machine had all-wheel drive.
A high level of comfort, a fairly spacious interior, ultra-modern design - these are the distinguishing features of the Audi R8. The characteristics of this sports device are surprisingly harmoniously combined with not at all sporty comfort.
Currently, a fan of a beautiful and powerful steel "beast" has the opportunity to purchase it in one of two body styles: coupe or convertible. At the same time, the iron “horse” is equipped with one of two motors to choose from. So, there is an opportunity to become the owner of an Audi R8 car with a “flaming” heart of a V8 with a volume of 4.2 liters, which comes to life from the powerful force of 430 “horses”. The maximum torque that this motor has is 317 Nm.
The second "heart" is equipped with ten cylinders of 5.2 liters, which are driven by 525 horsepower and 391 Nm of torque.
Engine power is transmitted by the all-wheel drive system to all wheels of the vehicle, while a little more of its charge is concentrated on the rear pair. The engine of the unit works harmoniously with a standard six-speed manual gearbox or with its modification "R-Tronic".
A fan of this amazing device is given the opportunity to purchase an exclusive version of the Audi R8 - Audi R8 GT5, 2. However, this requires a lot of effort: in addition to the fact that the cost of this car is higher than the standard version of the P8 5, 2 by 50,000 "green", the release of this device is also limited - only 90 copies, released specifically for American open spaces.
For an additional fee, the client receives a lighter unit with reduced sound insulation and stiffer suspension. The engine of the improved model remains the same as in the previous version - a V10 with a volume of 5.2 liters. However, the engine power has been increased to 560 "horses". At the same time, the client is provided with only one gearbox option - a mechanical six-speed box "R Tronic".
This predatory machine has been coming off the assembly lines of the German concern for the past 6 years. At the same time, in 2013, a new generation of this model, the Audi R8 Spyder, was launched.
