History of the creation of the model
The first UAZ is considered to be a gasoline truck with a power unit of 50 horsepower, previously installed on Pobeda. Equipped with a four-speed gearbox. The first copy was assembled in Ulyanovsk in 1949, and a year later the conveyor production began. The car was marked UAZ-300.

In the early 90s, the car plant was converted, that is, its products became available to the ordinary population of the country, and not just government agencies. This made it possible to increase the implementation of the 3151 series.
Models of UAZ engines became more diverse: instead of the same type of gasoline with a volume of 2445 cm3, diesel engines began to be used, and later injection engines. This change made it possible to significantly increase the power and power traction of the car. And also simplified its operation.
Modern cars
Today, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant retains a leading position in the production of off-road vehicles. In addition to the classic production of "funnel", "nurse" and "tadpoles", the production of a car with the index 315195 - UAZ "Hunter" has been launched. The model is a rather successful project of the factory, made using the latest technical equipment.
Another modern model of the plant is the UAZ "Patriot". It can be called a class car"Lux" (compared to other products). But serial production did not justify its hopes and was not as popular as the classic UAZ.
The latest development of the restyled Patriot, which is planned to be put into assembly line production this year, will meet many consumer requirements, and most importantly, will be distinguished by a new engine model and corresponding moderate fuel consumption.
