In automotive circles, there have been rumors for a long time that Lifan Motors plans to release another SUV. And in 2014, the Lifan X50 crossover was introduced to the world. Reviews about him at first were the most controversial: some were distrustful of the Chinese auto industry, others enthusiastically looked at the updated model. Interior

The changes affected the interior trim, which was radically updated in the Lifan X50 model. The feedback from the owners testifies to rather bold design decisions, but not all of them were delighted with the innovations.

The instrument panel deserves special attention. During its development, it was decided to use a sporty style, all elements are significantly recessed. The main contrast is the tachometer with a red background. It is this detail that causes discomfort for some drivers. The steering wheel is quite original, it houses the audio control buttons. A climate and music unit is installed in the center. As for the cabin space, to be honest, only two people will feel comfortable in the back seat.

The volume of the luggage compartment in the Lifan X50 model is small for a crossover, only 570 liters. Based on the feedback from the owners, some inconvenience is caused by an uneven bottom. There is a spare under the raised floor. Also, the wheel arches protruding into the trunk hide the already no differentlarge space. The rear seat folds down to significantly increase capacity, but you still won't be able to achieve a flat floor.

Exterior

Externally, the Lifan X50 crossover resembles an SUV, mainly due to the increased ground clearance. Trapezoidal grille fits perfectly into the overall concept. The bumper has a streamlined shape, which is typical of the European style. The optics of the head light is unusual, reminiscent of “fox eyes”. Between them flaunts the corporate logo of the company, framed by chrome trim. Fog lights are somewhat elongated, rectangular in shape.

Behind the car looks less massive. This feeling is achieved thanks to the U-shaped cargo door. A spoiler is installed above the glass, the “feet” are located at the very bottom of the bumper, the headlights stand out in contrast against the general background.

"Lifan X50" around the entire perimeter is framed with a plastic nozzle, which not only performs protective functions, but also decorative. The roof is arched, the side windows form a composition in the form of a drop, which goes well with the shape of the head optics.

Specifications

Design engineers installed two types of gasoline engines on the Lifan X50. One 103-horsepower engine, one and a half liters, four-cylinder, the second - 1.3 liters, squeezing out a power of 93 liters. s.

In addition, the first models of the crossover will be equipped with a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT variator (for an additional fee), the company plans to produce modelswith automatic gearbox. The speed limit is limited to 160-170 km / h. Fuel consumption is within 6.5 liters.

However, to the chagrin of Russian motorists, on the domestic market you can only purchase a complete set with an engine 1, 5. The second option is available only for domestic sales. At present, it is still difficult to make an objective judgment about the Lifan X50 car. Feedback from owners who have already purchased the new product is positioning it as the beginning of a new era in the Chinese auto industry. However, there are already suggestions that many brands of the budget segment will be relegated to the background.
