Lamborghini Veneno is a luxury supercar that was released by the eminent Italian company in 2013 in a limited edition. There are only three such cars on the planet. Each of them was bought for 3,400,000 euros, and all of them were sold before the premiere of the model. This is a fantastic car, and now it is worth talking about it in more detail.

Body

The base of the famous Lamborghini Aventador sports car, which has been produced to this day since 2011, became the basis of the Lamborghini Veneno.

The body of the model is entirely made of carbon fiber - a polymer composite material known for its rigidity, strength and low weight. It is much more reliable and lighter than steel.

Thanks to the use of this material, it was possible to reduce the weight of the Lamborghini Veneno, the photo of which is shown above, by as much as 125 kilograms, compared to the Aventador.

Dimensions and suspension

Lamborghini Veneno is not a carsmall. It is 5020 mm long, 1165 mm high and 2075 mm wide. The wheelbase is 2700 mm.

Ground clearance, as befits supercars designed to drive on ideal tracks, is minimal - only 104 mm. This clearance allows the car to easily overcome even the sharpest turns. Plus, this car is less prone to rollovers, unlike models with higher ground clearance. So its wide base and low center of gravity is a practical solution.

The suspension of the Lamborghini Veneno is independent, the brakes on all wheels are ventilated. The fronts are 20 inches in diameter and the rears are 21. The widths are 255 and 355 mm, respectively.

Design

The exterior designers of this car claim that their goal was to create a design so exclusive that the Lamborghini Veneno would go beyond all sorts of modern design. And, I must say, they succeeded.

The razor-sharp carbon shapes are irresistible. But they are not only beautiful and perfectly calibrated - each detail has its own functional purpose. Everything is designed to maximize downforce, minimize airflow resistance and maximize cooling.

If we talk about some features, it is difficult to single out one thing. This car is unique in itself, but what attracts the most attention is its amazing color. The metallic gray is amazingcombined with the red-white-green stripe symbolizing the flag of Italy, which fits well with the harmonious design of the supercar's profile.

Also features of the Lamborghini Veneno include scissor doors, elegant Y-shaped headlights, a powerful aerodynamic wing at the front, as well as stylish red edging that decorates the wheels, side sills, rear and front panel.

Salon

You can not ignore the interior of the supercar. Inside the Lamborghini Veneno looks just as chic as it does on the outside. There are only two seats - these are comfortable sports seats with pronounced lateral support, which are upholstered in high-quality Alcantara with red stitching. Naturally, they are equipped with 4-point seat belts that securely hold the driver and passenger at high speed.

Also noteworthy are carbon inserts, a neat 3-spoke steering wheel with large control paddles and a dashboard that is a display designed in the style of a fighter. It displays everything from tachometer data to speed and all-round visibility.

It is impossible not to note how ergonomically everything inside is decorated. At the top of the center console are chrome buttons responsible for security systems, power windows and other options. A little lower is the climate control unit, driving mode selection buttons and a key that you can press to start the engine.

Technicalspecifications

Of course, appearance is not the only advantage of this supercar. The specifications of the Lamborghini Veneno are also impressive. But before considering them, I would like to note that the developers, despite the trend towards the use of hybrid engines, which was actively developing at the time of designing the model, decided to use a gasoline atmospheric unit anyway.

Besides, this motor proved to be excellent on the serial Aventador. It suited the novelty even more, because thanks to the optimization of the exhaust system and improved aerodynamics, the speed of the Lamborghini Veneno increased by 0.1, unlike its predecessor. The mass-to-power ratio, by the way, is 1.93 kg/hp

So, the specifications are as follows:

  • Engine - gasoline, 6.5-liter, 12-cylinder.
  • Power - 750 horsepower.
  • Torque - 690 Nm.
  • Maximum power - 8400 rpm.
  • Acceleration - from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds.
  • Maximum speed is 355 km/h

This unit works in tandem with a 7-speed robotic gearbox. This all-wheel drive model consumes about 25 liters per 100 kilometers of driving in the city. When driving on the highway, consumption is reduced to 10 liters.

Other car features

Finally, it is worth paying attention to those details that were not mentioned earlier. In addition to those listed, Lamborghini Veneno has the following features:

  • Additionalbrake cooling is provided by carbon fiber rings around the rims.
  • The rear wing not only looks stylish, but also creates additional downforce.
  • The developers made the pedals as massive as possible to simplify control.
  • Increased downforce helped improve handling.
  • The front fenders are channeled for superior aerodynamics.
  • The developers made the bottom of the car perfectly smooth to reduce turbulence.
  • Fenders extending outside the bodywork redirect air to the brakes and radiators.
  • The rear spoiler, although it looks bulky, has an adjustment system.

To conclude the topic, I would like to note that some time after the release of this model, engineers created 9 Veneno roadsters. All of them were also sold out before the premiere. And the price of the roadster, by the way, is 300,000 euros more than the “closed” version of the Veneno.
