Since 2012, there are new rules for passing vehicle inspection. The purpose of the event itself remained the same: to prevent exploitation

cars, the use of which is potentially dangerous for both the driver and others. Therefore, the essence of technical inspection is still reduced to checking the technical condition, identifying machine malfunctions. It follows logically from this that it is necessary to begin with the preparation of the car for it to pass the technical inspection. What should I pay attention to?

First make sure you have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, warning triangle. The capacity of the fire extinguisher is recommended to be at least 2 liters. It is recommended - they cannot oblige you to this,

but do not try to save money on a fire extinguisher on this basis (this is not in your interest - with a fire extinguisher of a smaller capacity in case of fire, you simply cannot save your property). fire extinguisher andfirst aid kit should not be expired. Please note that in order to pass the technical inspection, you need to have an emergency sign of a new sample - two-color (outer contour - red, inner - orange).

If your driving experience is less than 2 years, there must be a “novice driver” sign on the rear window; if you are "on spikes" - also the corresponding sign, the letter "Ш" in a triangle.

Now you can pay attention to the actual car. What do you need to check to pass the technical inspection?

- operability of all lights, handbrake, horn, wipers and windshield washers;

- tires (tread height of at least 1.6 mm, cuts and tears should not be);

- no oil, fuel, coolant leaks (if there are stains under the car after parking, this is an alarm signal);

- integrity of brake hoses, cylinders, tubes;

- serviceability of the brakes.

If there is a crack on the windshield of your car, make sure that it is outside the operating area of the "wiper" on the driver's side; otherwise you will not pass the inspection.

Documents for technical inspection must be provided as follows:

- vehicle passport;

- power of attorney if you are not the owner;

- passport (citizen);

- paid receipts.

The power of attorney must necessarily indicate the passing of a technical inspection as an area of delegation of authority (“I trust to undergo a technical inspection and perform all related actions”).

Manybelieve that it is necessary to have a medical certificate and an OSAGO policy in order to pass the technical inspection. It's not.

What has changed with the introduction of the new rules? Now, at your choice, you can either pass the TRP - the state technical inspection at the inspection point, which is under the auspices of the traffic police; or a technical inspection at any private point that has the appropriate registration. If you purchased your car from an authorized dealer, it is almost certain that your dealer has such a registration - the inspection in this case will cost you less.

After passing the technical inspection, you will receive a diagnostic card in your hands, which you do not need to carry with you: the data on your MOT is already “filled” into the traffic police database, to which each inspector has access. No more technical inspection coupons are issued, the need to periodically hang something, and then scrape off the windshield, is no more.
