Multiple attempts by Korean developers to create a new youth car embodied in an unusual sports coupe called the Hyundai Veloster. This machine is designed on the Hyundai i30 platform, due to which the novelty has such small dimensions. For the first time this car was presented to the public in 2007, but the Veloster's debut was still unsuccessful. It even got to the point that the company's management intended to close the further development of the said sports coupe. But, due to some circumstances, a couple of years later, the concern decided to mass-produce this Hyundai model, and soon this new product will appear in our open spaces. The car immediately catches the eye with its unusual shapes and strange body lines. Everythingtogether it resembles some kind of concept car. But, despite the mentioned oddities, the designers are in no hurry to change the body structure, which means that the car will be produced in this form. However, in such an exterior you can find a big plus - the Hyundai Veloster will definitely attract the attention of pedestrians and make other car owners envy you. The teardrop shape of the body, a wide radiator grille with chopped shapes, "muscular" wheel arches, slanted headlights and foglights - all this makes the car ultra-modern, aggressive and even predatory.
Interior
Inside, the new Hyundai Veloster continues the theme of sportiness and aggressiveness. A distinctive feature of the cabin is the unusual shape of the center console, which in appearance resembles a motorcycle gas tank. As for driver comfort, here the engineers paid great attention to the development of ergonomic seats with pronounced lateral support, as well as the convenient location of the gear knob and steering wheel, which, by the way, is made of expensive leather. It is also worth noting the presence of an informative instrument panel, as well as stylish metal lining on the brake and gas pedals.
Specifications
Despite the fact that the company paid a lot of attention to the development of the entire design of the car (and spent a lot of money on it), the Hyundai Veloster is equipped with only one single engine. This is a four-cylinder gasoline engine with a capacity of 132 horsepower and a displacement of 1.6 liters. True, according to the developers themselves, soon this linereplenished with another gasoline engine with a capacity of 208 "horses" and a displacement of 2.0 liters. But, unfortunately, it will not be supplied to the Russian market. As for transmissions, the future buyer can choose one of two gearboxes - a 6-speed "mechanics" or a 6-band "automatic". In terms of fuel consumption, the new Hyundai Veloster is a fairly economical car - in the combined cycle it consumes about 6 liters per 100 kilometers.
