Time rushes forward, the world of motorcycle technology also does not stand still. Let me introduce you to the new product of the Belarusian motorcycle factory - Minsk R250. It is an exact copy of the Megelli 250R, only the stickers have been replaced with new ones.

When talking about Megelli, it is a product of the British motorcycle industry. The original units are designed and engineered in Europe and assembled in Asia. Generally speaking, the 250th motorcycle is sold worldwide under the Megelli brand. It is assembled in China, while using Taiwanese spare parts. Belarus has also launched the production of such motorcycles for its market.

Representatives of Minsk-Moto announced that this bike will be sold in some countries under the Minsk brand, and in others under the Megelli brand.

Minsk R250 is actually no different from its fellow Megelli 250. The nice thing here is that for a price of $3700 in the CIS countries you can buy the same motorcycle as in Europe, for example, for $5000.

Only tire sizes scare away, on which it can be unsafe to race at all speeds. You can also find fault with ergonomics, especially clip-ons on the tank. But first things first.

Beware of the aggressor on the road!

Motorcycle Minsk R250 has a rigid chassis, which characterizes it as a unit that behaves aggressively in corners. After all, it was collected by the Belarusians, not the Chinese. The only pity is that they did not modernize the R250 Minsk, only copying all the shortcomings of the original.

However, the rigid chassis, consisting of a steel "cage" and a spatial pendulum made of aluminum, makes the motorcycle a real aggressor when riding. It holds tight and looks like a real Japanese bike. The seat is hard and uncomfortable, which significantly reduces its authority. The main complaint in ergonomics is the pointed edges of the fairing, which are uncomfortable for the knees. Maybe it's only for tall riders?

Minsk The R 250 has a non-adjustable fork and is equipped with a Taiwanese FastAce monoshock. Everything works fine, at least it worked when tested on the track.

The motorcycle does not twitch or sway. However, when driving on Russian off-roads, it can cause inconvenience for a biker: tangible blows to the "fifth point" and hands. The clip-ons left behind from the Megelli 250R don't really interfere on the track. However, in city traffic jams and traffic jams, they may not be quite out of place (with a constant turn of the steering wheel in one direction or the other). But this problem is easily solved. It is enough to install short clip-ons.

Sportbike Minsk R250 has good brakes with reinforced lines and petal discs. The calipers work hard and not soharmoniously, as, for example, from Brembo. But we should not forget that this is not a Ducati or a Honda for you.

Such a motorcycle, of course, is not bought in order to ride around the village at a "turtle" speed of 60 km/h. Therefore, it is worth putting strictly tires of an increased price range on it. This will not only increase the safety of the unit, but also give the biker the confidence to ride.

What to say? The motorcycle was a success, considering its price. Therefore, you should not strictly look at the shortcomings of the bike. There are few of them, they are compensated by the same cost of such equipment.
