Preparing for installation
Do-it-yourself silent locks are not that difficult to install. The most important thing is to perform operations in a certain sequence. First of all, you need to provide access for this operation. To do this, you have to dismantlesome items.
- First of all, the inner door armrest is unscrewed. It is attached with three bolts, under the Phillips bat.

Impact on them must be carried out with extreme care so as not to damage them. The last step before installation is to remove the outer opening handle. It is removed by unscrewing the two nuts holding it from the inside of the door. It is more convenient to unscrew them with a socket wrench. After that, the handle can be freely removed from the outside. Now everything is ready to install new locks.
Installation of newmechanisms
You can install a silent lock on the VAZ-2107 in the reverse order from the disassembly process with some changes. The new mechanism is connected to the drive system in the same way, with the exception of one piece. Attachment of the thrust pusher to the rod of the outer door handle is added. Before installing it, the rod itself is disconnected, this part is attached to it, then everything is mounted in place. The handle is placed in its original position and secured with two nuts. Having snapped all the rods of its drive onto the new lock, you install the mechanism in its place. Then it is fixed with bolts. The power window guide is also screwed on.
Door assembly
All previous disassembly operations are done in reverse order.
- The door card is installed in place using plastic latches, if some were damaged during dismantling, they are replaced.
- The decorative ring of the inner door lock release lever is fixed in place.
- Puts into place and secured with a retaining ring window handle.
- The final step is to install the armrest in its position with three bolts.
