A pumped-up handsome man with a flying silhouette, a powerful and harmonious engine in all details, cast, but seemingly weightless wheels on three spokes, a smooth transition from a gas tank to a saddle really deserves laudatory words. The designers decided that the huge muffler pipe also works for the overall style, but many owners started tuning their iron beast by replacing this particular part. But the taste and color, as they say.

By the way, the beast is not as iron as it might seem at first glance. The powerful, thick, black-painted frame is not steel at all. It is made of aluminum alloy for lighter construction.

Soundtrack includes not only the roar of the mighty engine. Many pilots change their stock horn for something more appropriate, like a Hadley horn.

Repair & Parts

Moto parts are basically consumables. Front and rear brake pads, air filter kit, oil filter, oil are the main components of the list. The main problem, which is also expensive, is tires, the front of which is quite rare in size, it takes time to select it.

And maintenance is a gnashing of teeth for anyone used to changing oil, filters and spark plugs on their own. Maybe it didn't occur to Japanese manufacturers that such things are not made in specialized centers, but the fact remains.

Yamaha Warrior XV 1700 requires at least two people to change the air filters, since the fuel tank must be removed and then installed, which cannot be done alone.

Replacing candles is more or less simple for only two of them, with the rest you need to suffer, whoever has fingers not a pianist, who, in general, will have to remove the steering wheel with the dashboard. Replacing the belt is a long procedure, both the wheel and the pendulum are removed, but in this case no one expected gifts.

Motorcycle Disadvantages

For a powerful motorcycle Yamaha Warrior XV 1700 lacks sixth gear in the gearbox. This is noted by all pilots and is called one of the main drawbacks of the motorcycle. However, almost all Japanese choppers and cruisers sin with this.
