Italian supercars… You can talk about them forever. Cars combine great design, a powerful engine and a luxurious interior. At the same time, they are absolutely impractical: they have no spacious comfortable seats, no trunk, and small potholes on the roads reduce all the possibilities of such cars to nothing. Nevertheless, cars such as Ferrari and Lamborghini have earned the right to be called classics.

What is so special about them? Let's take a closer look at the example of a real legend - Lamborghini Diablo. But first, it is worth telling about the history of the formation of such a brand as Lamborghini.

Oddly enough, the impetus for the formation of "Lambo" was the self-confidence of their worst competitor - Ferrari, or rather Mr. Enzo Ferrari. Ferruccio Lamborghini already had several tractor companies, but his soul was in sports cars. He discovered some flaws in Ferrari cars. Ferruccio decided that, together with Mr. Ferrari, he could create the perfect supercar that no one could surpass. But it was not there, Enzo Ferrari did not even deign to go out to his guest. Moreover, he, to put it mildly, sent him to hell.

This event promptedLamborghini set up its own factory. His goal was to produce cars that would forever leave Ferrari behind. To some extent, Lamborghini succeeded. The Countach and Miura models were hugely popular.

In 1990, Chrysler took over the management of the company. As a result - the presentation of the new sports car Lamborghini Diablo. This car really managed to outshine all Ferrari models. Even Senor Ferruccio Lamborghini himself managed to enjoy his victory, but, unfortunately, three years later he was gone.

The Diablo model has become the heir to the sensational sports car Countach. The receiver has become much sleeker and larger. Although some experts believe that Diablo lacks the aggressiveness and wildness that Cauntach had.

The first sales of the supercar began in 1991. The car immediately got into the Guinness Book of Records as the most powerful. The brutal engine with 12 cylinders and a volume of 5.7 liters produced an incredible 492 hp. Thanks to the lightweight body, the Lamborghini Diablo famously gained speed from 100 km/h in 4 seconds, and the maximum was limited to 325 km/h.

Later, an all-wheel drive modification was released. Lamborghini Diablo just got faster, lighter and more powerful.

Carproduced only 11 years - from 1990 to 2001. During this time, managed to become a legend Lamborghini Diablo. Its price is also legendary. For such a sports car, you had to pay about 250 thousand dollars, and for the most top-end and exclusive configurations you would have to fork out for 500-600 thousand.

Another interesting fact. One of the Diablos was created for the 24 Hours of Leman races. This car did not bring victory, but Lamborghini engineers gained invaluable experience, which later came in handy for designing the most extreme version of the Lamborghini Diablo GT.
