When using a car, small chips, scratches inevitably appear on the body, and the paintwork is destroyed. You can hide minor damage to the body cover without repainting it. There are a huge number of car cosmetics for the external treatment of the car.
One of these products is a polish based on liquid glass. The car after processing with such a composition will become unrecognizable. Proper polishing will restore the paintwork to its former integrity, giving it a bright, eye-catching shine.
The main component of liquid glass is an alkaline solution of potassium silicate and sodium silicate. When interacting with air, the solution dries quickly, but the resulting film is easily dissolved by water. To prevent this from happening, waterproof, insoluble elements are added to the solution: magnesium, calcium, aluminum and others. The exact composition was not disclosed by the manufacturers.
One of these products is Liquid Glass polish. Its main goalis the creation of an invisible coating that is absolutely resistant to water and temperature extremes, but at the same time preserves the metal and body paint from destructive influences.
Before using the Liquid Glass polish, the car must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt. In addition to normal washing, attention must be paid to the removal of polishing agents previously used. Special degreasing compounds will help with this.
Car polishes are available in different versions - for light and dark tones. The kit includes a special sponge for applying the composition, protective gloves, a pair of towels for polishing the surface of the body, instructions. The use of gloves is mandatory, as once the product dries on the skin, it will not be possible to wash it off with water.
Car body polishing can be carried out both in summer and winter. The washed and dry body is treated with a special cleaner sold separately from the polish. It allows you to remove the remaining films of varnish from the surface and clean the car completely.
Using the supplied sponge, apply the polish in a thin layer, in small areas, avoiding gaps. Places where the polish is applied in a thick layer will differ from the general background and may even turn white.
After applying the product, it needs time to dry: about 20 minutes. After that, the body is wiped with a yellow towel included in the kit.
After another 20 minutes, the car finallypolished with a green towel from the kit. After all the work done, it will take a day for the final hardening of the coating.
To increase the service life of the freshly applied Liquid Glass polish, it is not recommended to wash the car for about two weeks. This time is enough to create a reliable protective layer.
After using the "Liquid Glass" polish, the car receives a thin but very reliable film that is ready to protect it from dust, moisture, abrasive particles, and ultraviolet radiation. Its action lasts for quite a long time - from six months to a year. This period directly depends on the operating conditions of the machine, the intensity of washing, and the season.
