Coming up with a name for it, the author used not only his last name, but also a well-known folk saying: "Where Makar did not pasture calves." She was a kind of confirmation that the car is suitable for driving even in places where no human foot has set foot.

The first copy was created in Yekaterinburg back in August 2009 on the basis of two Toyota Land Cruisers at once - 78 and 80 models. At the same time, only bridges were taken from the last car. However, during the tests, it was revealed that the Makar all-terrain vehicle has many flaws, which took about a year to eliminate. And only in July 2010the all-terrain vehicle was completely ready for use.

He passed his first tests in harsh conditions during the expedition, the route of which included the abandoned Nadym-Salekhard railway. On it he drove 320 km in 5 days.
