"Niva SK 5" is almost a legend of domestic engineering. This very compact harvester appeared more than 40 years ago. Transmission

All versions of the harvester are equipped with a V-belt drive. This suggests that the moment from the power unit to the gearbox shaft is transmitted using a V-belt transmission, the so-called variator. This made it possible to improve the ability to adjust the "SK-5 Niva" combine.

The variator is used to change the gear ratio. The working process is carried out due to the axial displacement of the element from the leading block. Depending on the position of the discs, the width of the stream changes, depending on this parameter, the radius of the belt envelope changes.

The belt drive does not allow a smooth ride on relatively soft soils, with a full hopper. The header attachment system is not particularly reliable either.

Other than that, a good combine for those farmers who want to buy inexpensive, but at the same time proven equipment with simple maintenance.

The reliability of the hydraulic system is ensured by the purity of the oil due to tight connections that prevent air from entering inside. An oil change had to be done every 50 hours of operation. In the modern market, the Niva SK 5 combine is considered to be practically the most affordable option among all those presented. The cost varies from 160 thousand rubles (for this money you can get a car that will be on the move, but you will need to carry out a number of repair measures to restore it to working condition) and up to 600 thousand (the condition will be good and as close to ideal as possible, otherwise it is impractical for such an amount to buy a car, and then carry out repairs).
