Something similar has been created. Car "Wolf" - the latest development of military engineers. After successful tests at a training ground located near Nizhny Novgorod, the Ministry of Defense decided to use this technique for military service.

Production

Quite a promising family of vehicles of modular design "Wolf" has a carrying capacity of 1.5 to 2.5 tons. Armored car "Volk" is designed to perform multifaceted operations that are associated with the solution of counter-terrorist tasks. The new machines have been designed with all current trends in safety and versatility in mind. Beforethe designers set the task - to create the most unified machine. The Wolves family was designed on the basis of the so-called modular type. Thanks to this, the Wolf armored car can be used not only for military purposes, but also for civilian purposes.

Modifications

The modular design of the machine allows you to create three different groups: armored vehicles, unarmored, as well as a fairly promising direction of commercial copies. The test phase of the armored versions has now been completed. The civilian car "Wolf" is still at the stage of development, testing and various tests.

The main group of this family includes:

• basic machine VPK-3927, which has a protected controllable module, as well as a separate rear module equipped with additional functionality;
• VPK-39271 with a one-volume functional module, as well as with installed additional protective equipment;
• VPK-39372 is a transport vehicle used for the delivery of goods, as well as the transportation of personnel; it is worth noting that this military vehicle "Wolf" has the ability to mount additional elements and modules;
• VPK-39273 - a vehicle that differs from all its counterparts in its wheel arrangement; this is a 6 by 6 SUV with an additional module installed for the implementationcontrols.

Development

The Russian car "Wolf", according to its developers, has unique technical capabilities. A high level of specific power, as well as increased cross-country ability, predetermine the need for the development of a so-called commercial off-road vehicle tested for civilian purposes. It is planned to create a variant for sale (both in the domestic and foreign markets) for the implementation of certain tasks in various industries.

Platform

The car "Wolf" boasts a unified platform, which allows you to significantly expand the scope of this model range. Depending on the task, additional equipment and various specialized units can be installed. Such a solution allowed to significantly reduce the level of costs for the creation and preparation of production. In addition, such a move stimulates the optimization of modern base machines.

At the moment, a special platform, a civilian version, as well as a separate truck are being developed and unified. Soon anyone will be able to purchase a car "Wolf" for personal use. The price of such a purchase may vary depending on the configuration, as well as the availability of additional equipment, the average is about 8 million rubles.

Introduction of new solutions

On all vehicles related tofamily "Wolf", used completely new constructive models. A unified platform was created, complemented by an independent suspension with the ability to adjust the stiffness. Particular attention was paid to the degree of security of the cabin, engine compartment. In order to make such a heavy Volk car move, a new YaMZ-5347 diesel engine was used. This solution made it possible to obtain more power, while reducing the level of fuel consumption. In sum, all decisions endowed the family with a number of excellent qualities, including:

• patency;
• high resource;
• unification;
• maneuverability.

Protection

When creating protection for the "Wolf" car, the concept of mine and ballistic protection of personnel, as well as the car as a whole, was taken as the basis. To increase the versatility of the SUV, a frame-panel design was used, which is able to ensure its quick installation and dismantling without the involvement of individual specialists and the use of specialized tools. It should be noted that the area of protected elements is more than 85%. The level of ballistic protection corresponds to level 6a, according to the GOST-50963 regulatory document, if necessary, this parameter can be increased.

Mine protection is achieved through the installation of additional bottom armor elements. To increase this parameter, a number of innovative solutions were used, including the installation of specialized seats, as well asthe presence of a double floor structure.

Powertrain

All vehicles of the "Wolf" type are equipped with a promising YaMZ-5347 engine, which complies with Euro-4 standards. The peculiarity of this engine is that it has a so-called modernized power reserve. This ensures that a high value of the power parameter is maintained during an increase in mass. An increase in weight is possible in case of changes in the requirements for protecting the integrity of the body. With an engine power of 240 horsepower, the transmission resource is more than 250 thousand km.

Chassis

All "Wolf" vehicles have an independent suspension, which allows, if necessary, to change the ride height. The average ground clearance is 400 mm, if necessary, it can be changed from a minimum of 250 to a maximum of 550 mm. With the ability to adjust the stiffness, the machine can go off-road at speeds over 60 km/h.

This type of suspension allows the movement of various all-wheel drive vehicles with a large payload, such as KamAZ, Ural, along the track. The car "Wolf" corresponds to them both in width and in height of ground clearance. This parameter provides an increase in the average speed of the military column.
