Use area
GAZ "Yermak" is a medium-tonnage vehicle designed mainly for the village and for all work related to the economy. It can be called a direct descendant of everyone's favorite "lawns" of the GAZ-51 brand, as well as 53 and 55. The latter still serve in the countryside and carry out the transportation of various agricultural products. Such transport is perfect for small farms, as well as for individual farmers who need a specialized vehicle to deliver their products to consumers.
Modifications
At the moment, there are only three models of the GAZ "Ermak" car, the technical characteristics of which differ little, but nevertheless these cars are designed to carry out several different tasks.
- A car with a gross weight of 3.5 tons, as well as with a 4x2 wheel arrangement. This option is equipped with a diesel engine with a displacement of 2.8 liters. The main purpose is to use it as a personal vehicle, as well as to work on small subsidiary plots and farms.
- The second option is the 6-ton GAS Yermak. Its characteristics differ from those of its predecessor. This car has a 3.8 liter engine. The car is used mainly for the implementation of a variety of transportation. In addition, he excelled when working onlarge as well as medium-sized agricultural enterprises and various types of farms.
- The third option has an increased level of cross-country ability, differs in wheel formula and area of use. GAZ "Ermak" 4x4 has, like its predecessor, a gross weight of 6 tons and exactly the same engine of 3.8 liters. Mainly used for tasks in large farms. The presence of additional models allows the use of such vehicles in the same chain with other agricultural machines or units. Due to the increased level of patency, this machine can be used on land with loose soil. All this is possible due to the installation of all-wheel drive on GAZ "Ermak", connected from the driver's cab, as well as the presence of locks on the rear axle.
Modularity principle
The new GAZ "Ermak" stands out among all its predecessors, as well as brothers cabin module. This engineering component has long been known on the Russian market, as it was used in other models of the GAZ company - in the Gazelle, as well as in a car called Valdai. But the designers have somewhat changed the cab hood. The hood module was created almost from scratch. It is this combination that makes the new GAZ "Ermak" very similar to all previous models of everyone's favorite "lawns".
The interior design was originally planned to take from another model and not develop a new one. This time the "donor" turned out to be "business-Gazelle". This design has proven itself only from the best side. A high-quality material with a high level of wear resistance is used. It is not subject to deformation under various kinds of mechanical stress.
The chassis on the all-wheel drive version was also borrowed. So, the transfer case was taken from the Sadko all-terrain vehicle. The difference between these two nodes is only in the shift handle. In the GAZ "Ermak" car, it is more ergonomic, made taking into account all modern requirements and conditions.
Motor
The main modules are borrowed from other models of the company, but not the motor. Initially, power units of American-Chinese production are installed at GAZ Yermak. This was necessary to replace the low-power engines of past generations. Their weak point was switching from second gear to third. At the same time, many remember the characteristic crunch and rattle.
Many of those who have had time to check the new car, and have already purchased it for personal use, note the excellent work of the power plant. At the moment, there are no complaints from the owners of diesel engines. Most of all, the Chinese version is praised, which comes in two versions: for the 3.5 ton version with a power of 120 hp, and for the 6 ton version with 152 hp. s.
Cost
The main task set before the designers is to create the most affordable car for various farm enterprises, regardless of their size. The manufacturer promises that the cost of the most affordable truck will not exceed 600 thousand. This indicator cannot but rejoice, since its predecessor GAZ-3309 with similar characteristics is available for 685-700 thousand. Public opinion
GAZ Yermak is a great car that the Russian village needs. This is exactly the option that was lacking until today. Moreover, this question was raised quite sharply. Thanks to the new truck, the company has managed to close the segment of small domestic agricultural vehicles.
As a disadvantage, it is worth noting the use of purchased power units and transmissions. This slightly increases the final cost. It would be great to develop a domestic diesel engine that is suitable for working in such conditions.
