Nevertheless, despite the suspended development process, "Grant wagon" deserves attention. It differs from the sedan not only in increased capacity and dimensions. The developers also changed the design a little. What can be judged by looking at the photos of the model. The designers decided to make the rear part not only elongated, but also raised. This design could make it possible to safely transport even bulky items.

The front part is also slightly raised. This would have a positive effect on handling and patency. After all, the absence of low overhangs allows you to move comfortably both on city streets and off-road.

The disappointment of people who learned that the "Grant wagon" will not be published, can be understood. After all, the modification in this body was the result of the painstaking work of designers and engineers.

However, cars with a 106-horsepower engine under the hood are the most popular, so they should be considered in more detail.

This "Grant" can accelerate to a maximum of 181 km / h. The speedometer needle reaches the mark of 100 km / h 12.3 seconds after the start. Consumption is moderate. For 100 city kilometers, the model takes 9 liters of fuel. And on the highway - about 5, 2l.

By the way, only models with a 106-horsepower unit are offered with both "automatic" and "mechanics".

The problem of choice

It is interesting that many people, wishing to acquire a roomy Russian-made car, can hesitate for a long time in terms of their decision. Most of them are tormented by the same question. What is better - "Kalina station wagon" or "Grant liftback"?

It's hard to decide. Both one and the other model has a striking design, and also has a number of technical advantages. They are similar, but there are also differences. The fact is that Granta represents a new family of cars from AvtoVAZ. The traditions of the 90s, in turn, are continued by Kalina wagon. "Granta" is bought more often, but only because it looks more original and fresher. Today, budget cars are in high demand among young people, and for them, design and modernity are of considerable importance when choosing a vehicle.

Yes, and from the object point of view, Kalina is inferior to the newer model. There are too many flaws and shortcomings from the past in her salon. And in the "Grant" they are practically non-existent. In terms of technical capabilities, the models are the same. Differences are noticeable only in rich trim levels. In which Granta stands out with a wider range of units and attractive speed performance.

Finally, I would like to say a few words about the price. The unreleased station wagon would presumably be offered to potential buyers for 600,000 rubles. The consolation is that the modifications currently being implemented are cheaper.

The Granta sedan in luxury configuration and with a 106-horsepower engine is offered at a price of 520-570 thousand rubles. And the basic version with an 87 hp engine. With. costs only 340-390 t.r.

The liftback is priced higher. However, they remain acceptable. The most inexpensive model will cost 365-415 thousand rubles. A “charged” one with the best engine and equipment will cost approximately 535-585 thousand rubles
