The relatively recently appeared Ravon brand alarms many motorists, because it does not have the fame of other automakers. However, despite the biased attitude of the public, everything is not so bad: the brand is a subsidiary of Daewoo Motor, which appeared on the automotive market in October 2015 in Uzbekistan.

Under the new brand, the Ravon Nexia 3 car will be produced in five trim levels. This model, in fact, is an updated version of the Chevrolet Aveo T250, produced from 2006 to 2012.

Exterior

Despite the fact that the features of Chevrolet in the Nexia 3 have left their mark, the design of the new car has undergone significant changes. The front of the body is more similar to the restyled version of the Aveo T250 five-door hatchback from 2008-2011. The front grille is divided into two parts: the upper one is for engine cooling, the lower one is for additional cooling and improving aerodynamic qualities.

The front optics of the Nexia 3 Narxi got a more elongated shape with the front fenders. The bumper has become more elongated, curved lines give it a more stylish design.

The updated exterior, coupled with the old body, attracted the attention of buyers, in addition, the manufacturer provided comprehensive information about the prices and characteristics of the car even before the start of sales.

The radiator grill is located at the top of the bumper. In the basic version of the Nexia 3 UZ, the grille is chrome-plated, but the buyer can order a part of any color for an additional fee. Fog lights and daytime running lights are integrated into the lower part of the bumper.

The front of the body is accentuated by the curved lines of the hood, following the shape of the bumper. The updated exterior of the Daewoo Nexia 3 is made in accordance with all modern trends in the automotive industry, but the design features of the Chevrolet Aveo can be traced.

Rear-view mirrors in the basic configuration of the car are painted black, in all others - in body color. Turn signals are located on the front fenders.

Rear marker lights are well visible in any weather due to their dimensions. The design of the trunk lid has changed, supplemented by the emblem of the manufacturer and the model name.

Features

The weight of Nexia 3 (position 3) varies from 1083 to 1105 kilograms depending on the selected configuration, which is largely due to the compact dimensions of the car. Wheel diameter also depends onspecific version: for example, Comfort MT is equipped with 14-inch steel wheels, Optimum MT, AT - 15-inch. Cast aluminum wheels fitted on Elegant MT and AT trims.

The total volume of the fuel tank is 45 liters, luggage space - 400 liters. If desired, the trunk can be increased to 900 liters by folding the rear seats.

Interior

Internal space of Nexia 3 Narxi Uzbekistonda has undergone minor changes. The front panel is made in a round shape, which is a hallmark of the Chevrolet Aveo and which the owners have repeatedly spoken out controversially, saying that it needs to be replaced with a more modern analogue.

All Nexia 3 configurations are equipped with a windshield with a sun protection strip, which, however, does not protect the clock placed on the dashboard: in sunny weather, their dial is almost invisible. In the center of the panel there are two holes for the air intake system, under which there are an audio system and an on-board computer. In the Comfort MT package, the car is equipped with only two speakers, while all other versions have a four-speaker audio system.

Below the audio system is air conditioning, which is missing only in the basic configuration. The trunk opens from the passenger compartment using a key located at the driver's hand.

The dashboard has remained unchanged: it contains a tachometer, speedometer, engine temperature and fuel gauges. The marking of the sensors is good, the readings are visible whenany lighting level.

The four-spoke steering wheel fits comfortably in your hands and turns easily thanks to the installed hydraulic booster. The steering wheel can be adjusted in height. On the left side are the buttons for heating the rear window and adjusting the optics. All configurations except Comfort MT include side mirror controls and heated mirrors.

The front windows in the Optimum MT and AT trims are equipped with electric windows, in all other versions - mechanical. Similar mechanical systems are installed on the rear windows. The top-of-the-line Elegant MT and AT are equipped with power windows front and rear.

In all trim levels, the interior trim is fabric and differs only in color: in Elegant it is beige-charcoal, in all the rest it is gray-black. The door trim is not of the highest quality: fabric in the Elegant package, plastic in all others.

Specifications

The line of power units Nexia 3 consists of only one engine - gasoline DOHC with a volume of 1.5 liters. The motor fully complies with all the requirements of the environmental standard Euro 5. Engine power - 107 horsepower.

Comfort MT, Optimum MT and Elegant MT trim levels feature a five-speed manual transmission. For Optimum AT and Elegant AT versions, a six-speed automatic transmission is provided. Regardless of the configuration, the Nexia 3 is equipped with front-wheel drive.

Up to 100 km/h caraccelerates in 11.9 seconds. In the urban cycle, Ravon Nexia fuel consumption is 7.7 liters per 100 kilometers.

The brake system is represented by ventilated front disc and rear drum brakes. Budget suspension: front - independent on racks, rear - torsion bar.

Car safety

Nexia 3 is equipped with airbags: for the passenger and the driver are provided only in the top configuration Elegant MT and AT, in all others it is installed only for the driver on the steering wheel.

Protecting the driver's legs in the event of a collision is presented in the form of a special strip under the steering column. There are seat belts both in the back and in the front. Among the auxiliary options responsible for traffic safety are the ESC stability control system, tire pressure sensor, ABS brake system, which are included in the basic package of options for all Nexia 3 trim levels.

The Era-GLONASS system is also included in the basic package, which notifies emergency response services in the event of an emergency or traffic accident. As additional equipment, there is a warning function for an unfastened passenger or driver, a key remaining in the ignition switch or side lights on. Central locking available on all trims except Comfort MT.

The manufacturer offers motorists five complete sets of Ravon Nexia at the following prices:

• Comfort MT - 379 thousand rubles.
• Optimum MT - 439 thousand rubles.
• Optimum AT - 479 thousand rubles.
• Elegant MT - 489 thousand rubles.
• Elegant AT - 529 thousand rubles.

Official sales of Nexia 3 started in April 2016. Taking into account the fact that the car has undergone significant restyling and is, in fact, the brainchild of a new company, its prices are very affordable and attractive to car enthusiasts.

Features of Ravon Nexia trim levels

As already mentioned, the Uzbek-American joint venture supplies the car to the Russian market in five trim levels. The basic version is Comfort MT, medium variations are Optimum MT, Optimum AT and Elegant MT. The top-of-the-range Nexia 3 is Elegant AT.

The basic version is equipped with a driver's airbag, stability control and some other electronic options. The equipment package also includes the ability to adjust the steering column, power steering, fog lights, an audio system with the ability to connect and synchronize mobile devices and some other functions and systems.

More equipped trim levels include air conditioning, power windows, central locking and multiple audio speakers.

The top version of the Ravon Nexia is equipped with an airbag for the passenger seated forward, a wide choice of finishing materials and audio controls on the steering wheel.

Basiccompetitors

In this automotive segment Nexia 3 is the most affordable vehicle, but it also has major competitors that can shift demand for the brainchild of the Uzbek car industry. Among them are the following machines:

• Renault Logan. The minimum cost of a car is 469 thousand rubles. Assembly is carried out in Togliatti. Compared to the Ravon, it has a more modern exterior and richer basic equipment, but it has its drawbacks in layout and build quality.
• Datsun on-DO. Japanese analogue of Lada Kalina. The minimum price is 436 thousand rubles. The car is more compact compared to the Ravon, has almost identical basic equipment and a much worse technical component.
• Chery M11. Chinese car at a price of 459 thousand rubles. Rich equipment, good technical equipment, higher class.
• FAW V5. Chinese sedan. The minimum cost is 469 thousand rubles. The technical component is almost identical to Ravon, however, its demand is negatively affected by its Chinese origin and the distrust of domestic motorists in the Chinese auto industry.

The main competitor of the budget Ravon Nexia 3 sedan today is the Chinese auto industry, some of whose representatives are rightfully considered one of the most affordable, high-quality and reliable vehicles. Despite this, Nexia remains one of the most attractive offerings in its class. The similarity of the car with the Chevrolet Aveo, however, both attracts and repelsbuyers. Many car owners note that the manufacturer, ideally, should have radically changed the design of the car, making it more modern.

However, all the external shortcomings of the Nexia 3 are more than compensated for by its reliability: the model easily passes 200 thousand kilometers without any serious breakdowns. Of course, the owner will have to equip the Ravon with certain systems that are not included in the configurations, but the car is worth it, and coupled with an affordable price, it will be a very profitable purchase.
