Auto ZAZ "Vida" is a model of a passenger car, which is manufactured both in a hatchback and a sedan. Large-scale production was launched in 2012. In Ukraine, the car went on sale only by March. A month later, the official presentation of the Vida hatchback from ZAZ took place. It took place in one of the largest car dealerships in Kyiv.

Description

The ZAZ Vida car, the characteristics of which are presented below, rolled off the assembly line for the first time in 2012. The first batch was, respectively, a trial, simultaneously with the release, the process of obtaining certification took place. The T250 body was used on some models, including the Chevrolet Aveo, it became one of thecars that were produced in Ukraine. This car was produced at the Zaporozhye plant, its working name is ZAZ "Vida". In Russia, it is better known as Point.

February 2012 - that's when mass production began. Full assembly (stamping, bodywork, painting) was first performed on the main assembly line in Zaporozhye. It was planned to export the car only when the share of Ukrainian components was more than half. The ZAZ Vida car will differ from the original version in wheels, logos, equipment options and, of course, in cost.

The machine in certain versions is equipped with different power plants. We are talking about licensed (1.5 l), Melitopol (1.3 l) and Korean (1.5 l) engines. On the market you can see various options for the car. A 5-door sedan and hatchback are available.

The well-established sale of the ZAZ "Vida" car in the dealer network of Ukraine appeared in the year of issue. Manufacturers were faced with the challenge of increasing product quantities and increasing the development of domestic parts. It was initially known that the car would go on sale in Russia, however, in what form and at what cost, no one knew. Over 10,000 copies sold in the first year.

Special version of the car

In August 2012, at the Moscow Motor Show and in September of the same year at the Stolichny Motor Show (Ukraine), the concept car ZAZ Vida Special Version was presented in a sedan body, but with a front part from a hatchback of the samemodifications.

The model is an independent development of the Zaporozhye Automobile Plant. ZAZ Vida Special Version received a 1.4-liter gasoline-powered power unit, the maximum power rating is 94 horses, which was directly produced by General Motors. The motor is paired with an automatic transmission (4 speeds). A car similar to the Chevrolet Aveo for the Mexican market and the Chinese Chevrolet Lova, but with a different front bumper and grille. ZAZ Vida Special Version may go into mass production.

Pickup

In May 2013, a prototype van called ZAZ Vida Pick-up was presented at the Kiev International Motor Show SIA. The developers claim a 3000-liter trunk and a carrying capacity that can reach seven hundred kilograms. Under the hood of the car is an 86-horsepower engine of 1.5 liters, fuel type - gasoline. The start of mass production was scheduled for the end of 2013. This car is a copy of the Chevrolet Aveo, the only thing the company has done is put up for sale the same model under its logo. The suspension has a lever design, due to which the movement is carried out most smoothly. Potential buyers who were going to purchase ZAZ Vida studied the reviews of the owners in sufficient detail. From which we can draw a definite conclusion: no significant shortcomings were found. This is due to the professionalism of the workers of the Zaporozhye plant.

Body

The length of the car is: sedan - 4300 mm, hatchback - 4000 mm. Width: sedan- 1700 mm, hatchback - 1600 mm, height - 1500 mm; wheelbase - 2400 mm. These dimensions do not differ from the dimensions of the Chevrolet. However, they allowed for increased handling and improved cornering maneuverability. The curb weight of the car is 1000-1200 kg, so the car can carry quite heavy loads and a large number of passengers. Due to this, the ZAZ Vida car, the characteristics of which can be read in this article, received a lot of positive feedback from the owners. The volume of the fuel tank is 45 liters. The luggage compartment capacity of the sedan is 400 liters, the hatchback - 220 liters. If more space is needed for larger loads, the rear seat can be folded down to increase capacity to 980L.

Gearbox

The transmission of cars is made according to the front-wheel drive scheme with front wheel drives of different lengths. The model with a 1.5L engine is equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, while the Vida 1.4L is equipped with an automatic transmission.

Prices and specifications

ZAZ Vida is offered in five trim levels. They differ in technical characteristics. Two models are equipped with an automatic transmission and are available in sedan and hatchback body styles. The basic equipment of the sedan has a standard set: an airbag for the driver, a manual transmission that works with an average power engine.

The next upgrade includes manual transmission, air conditioning, airbags for the front passenger and, of course, the driver. Availablepower windows and fog lights. Similar features are available in both the sedan and hatchback.

Prices for ZAZ "Vida" sedan with manual transmission start from 90 thousand UAH. (300 thousand rubles) for the basic version. An improved LS with the same engine, hydraulic booster, air conditioning, airbag, electric windows and fog lights costs from 98 thousand UAH. You will have to pay a little more for the complete set of the LT machine: from 117 thousand UAH.

Cars with a hatchback body in the LS configuration (5-speed manual) cost UAH 95,000. LT version (automatic) - from 116 thousand UAH (302 thousand rubles).

Detailed characteristics of the hatchback

So, the ZAZ "Vida" hatchback is practically a copy of the "Chevrolet-Aveo" model, as mentioned earlier. As expected, the car is not much different from its original version in technical terms and in appearance. The front suspension has some features that are common to foreign manufacturer parts, while the rear is a linkage design. ZAZ "Vida" (hatchback) was very liked by both Russian and Ukrainian buyers. On the front wheels, you can see the installed disc-type brakes, and on the rear - drum. The parameters of the car are no different: all dimensions remain the same.

The base type package includes the minimum set required for medium-level security. Expensive versions are very comfortable.

Engine

ZAZ car "Vida", the engine of which, in principle, has quite acceptable characteristics, moves along the roads due to a gasoline power plant. The manufacturer installs two types of units:

• four-valve - mechanical type gearbox, and the speed of 100 km/h can be developed in 12 seconds;
• The eight-valve engine is capable of developing 64 horsepower. And you can pick up speed from a standstill in 14 seconds.

In principle, these characteristics are really good for a Ukrainian-made car. After all, this is not about Germany, Japan or America, but about Ukraine. It is worth noting that this ZAZ Vida car, reviews of which confirm all the declared characteristics, comes off the same assembly line as Lanos, known throughout the country. The manufacturer had to create an excellent car, improve it and fully meet all the requirements of the modern driver. However, this is not easy to do, if only because it is remembered by customers for its durability, good endurance and complete immunity to the climatic conditions of any region.
