Maserati Quattroporte are luxury, sporty full-size sedans that have been in production since 1963. Of course, for more than fifty years, several generations of this model have changed. To date, since 2013, the sixth is being produced. But it is necessary to tell about each, because any model deserves it.
Start of production
Even the first generation Maserati Quattroporte could boast of modern (for those times) equipment and undoubted comfort. Models from the 60s had air conditioning, power windows, a V-shaped 260-horsepower engine under the hood and a powerful sports suspension. Such a car accelerated to hundreds in just 8 seconds. And the maximum speed was 230 km / h. At that time it was a real sports car. It is interesting that Leonid Brezhnev bought one of these cars for himself.
The second generation appeared in 1976. The new Maserati Quattroporte couldboast a more refined design and hydropneumatic suspension. Under the hood, it was decided to put a V-shaped "six". True, there was no serial production. All due to the fact that the strike movement intensified in the automotive industry, caused by an unsuccessful alliance between Citroen and Maserati. However, a few copies were still published. And today, many collectors are hunting for them.
Third and fourth generations
Further production of "Maserati Quattroporte" continued in 1976. Then the third generation began to be produced, and production continued until 1990. After the failure that happened with the second generation, the developers decided to return to the classic principle of the company. That is, to make cars rear-wheel drive and with a V-shaped "eight" under the hood. By the way, the model was designed and developed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the founder of the Italdesign bodywork studio.
In the 90s, the fourth generation Maserati Quattroporte was produced. The debut of the novelty took place in April 1994. Designed by Marcello Gandini. It turned out to be rather unusual and even risky, however, it justified itself. Originality bribed motorists. But besides the looks, this car also boasted expensive wood and leather trim - a truly win-win combination. By the way, the model just has excellent sound insulation. Of the features - 3-channel ABS, airbags, reinforced doors and an automatic shutdown of the supply of gasoline in the event of an accident.
Class 2003-2013
It was during these ten years that the fifth generation came out. The novelty is simply amazing. All parts and parts of the Maserati Quattroporte looked great. This model is a successful combination of a classic sedan with a sporty, aggressive car.
You can talk for a long time about its benefits. But the most important thing is what is under the hood of this car. 32-valve V-shaped "eight" with a volume of 4.2 liters. This motor produces "400 horses". It is aggregated with a 6-band manual transmission, and accelerates to 100 km / h in just 5.2 seconds. The speed limit is 275 km/h. This "Maserati Quattroporte" performance is simply amazing. And the Sport GT version is even better. Indeed, in this modification, a transmission is installed that switches speeds 35% faster. It was this car that stood in the garages of Silvio Berlusconi and Michael Schumacher.
Recent years
Starting from 2013, the sixth generation of the Maserati Quattroporte has been produced. A photo of the new model is presented above. Such cars boast a 3-liter 410-horsepower engine that allows you to accelerate to hundreds in 5.1 seconds. And that's just the base engine. But the top version has a powerful unit under the hood - V8 twin-turbo. It produces 530 horsepower. With such a unit, the car can accelerate to 307 km / h. By the way, it is driven by an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Design and specifications. "Fiat Ducato" 3 generations
A few years ago, the first 2 minibuses from the Italian-French trio ("Citroen Jumper" and "Peugeot Boxer") entered the Russian market, where they are now being successfully implemented.
