When talking about cars, it is customary to compare a new model with the previous one. So, the BMW E38 has undergone some changes, but not so significant. The hood and appearance have been improved. If we talk about design, it is worth noting that it is in many ways similar to the E 32 - and both externaldetails and internals. But the interior is somewhat similar to the E 39. Only this model is slightly larger than the new one.
In terms of technical equipment, the model has changed significantly. This is especially true in electronic systems. When the developers thought about the project of this car, it was planned to make an executive class car. Actually, the BMW E38 was announced as such, but in fact, not everything that was planned was realized in reality. Most BMW models are famous for their sportiness, but it is this “seven” that in this case is inferior to its competitors. But in terms of technical characteristics, there are practically no complaints - the engineers did their best on this.

Each car differs from the other modification in its technical characteristics, and the differences are quite significant. It is worth comparing this car with another version, for example with the BMW 725 tds. Its maximum speed is almost 50 kilometers (206 km/h) slower, and its power is only 143 hp
Other options are more average in terms of their characteristics, the most optimal modelsare versions of the BMW E38 740i and 735i - up to a hundred they accelerate in 7 and 7.6 seconds, respectively, fuel consumption is also average (11.8 and 10.2 liters), maximum speed - 250 and 244 km / h. Well, the power is 286 and 235 hp. So if you want to buy a BMW 7 E38, then you don’t have to worry about the choice: it is. True, due to the fact that these models are no longer produced, you will have to look for them in a used version.
Specifications
It is worth noting that the BMW 7 E38 is a model in the first modification of which many significant changes were embodied. Take, for example, an adaptive automatic transmission with an AGS system or an electronic engine management system (ELM). And these are just a few of the changes. A dynamic motion stabilization system was also introduced - this innovation made the control more convenient and comfortable. The driver on the road feels much calmer and more confident due to it.
Also, there was a system for regulating the position of the body and controlling the stiffness of the shock absorbers. As you can see, the manufacturers really tried and made the model better in all technical characteristics. Of course, all this is included in the basic package. But if we discuss 750 iL, then, looking at its characteristics, we can understand that it has a little more. For example, a five-speed automatic transmission, self-adjusting suspension, heated seats (both rear and front), a powerful 14-speaker audio system and beautiful aluminum wheels. Plus, climate control and a ventilation system.
