Ground clearance is one of the most important characteristics of a car that our customers are interested in when purchasing it. Such attention to this parameter is provoked by not the best quality of domestic roads.
Ground clearance is an important indicator that directly affects the car's patency. In urban conditions, speed bumps or a high curb in the parking lot help to feel the low landing of the car. Driving off-road or country bumpy and snow-covered streets, a car with a low clearance constantly draws a “skirt” and from time to time hits a protective plate. Such impacts are not critical, but rather unpleasant for both the driver and his passengers.
But it is the low ground clearance of the Chevrolet Cruze that makes the car more spectacular and more expensive than its competitors. "Chevrolet Cruz" is a new car of class "C", which replaced the Chevrolet Lacetti, which is very popular among domestic motorists.
The machine differs from its predecessor in dimensions (more versatile and proportional forms). Besides this, herdistinguished by high-quality assembly, its exclusive style and relatively low cost, which makes the Chevrolet Cruze affordable for a large number of people.
The car is equipped with a new gasoline engine, which is produced in 2 versions: with a 1.6-liter unit and a capacity of 109 "horses" (acceleration to 100 km / h is carried out in 12.5 seconds) and a 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 141 horsepower (to the mark of 100 km / h - in 10 seconds). In addition, the Chevrolet Cruze can be equipped with both a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The design of the car body provides excellent dynamics, low noise and vibration. Four airbags guarantee a high level of occupant protection. "Kruz" can be equipped with such additional equipment as the ABC system, air conditioning, power mirrors, immobilizer, heating, seat heating system, central locking with PU. For an additional fee, all this can be installed on the purchased car.
The ground clearance of this model, according to official specifications, is 160 mm. These data are still overestimated, since engine protection was not taken into account, without which it is clearly dangerous for us to drive. It was also necessary to take into account the plastic "skirt" placed under the front bumper. In connection with all this, the ground clearance is reduced to a figure of 140 millimeters.
Clearance between the "back" of the car and the roadcoating is 200-220 millimeters. It cannot be said that this will be enough for off-road driving, since the figure is relatively low.
"Chevrolet Cruz", whose ground clearance is 140 millimeters, is suitable for city driving, but it is clearly not suitable for off-road driving.
Motorists love this model for its high quality, good performance and a price that matches the car.
There are 3 vehicle configurations available: Base, LS and LT - which differ in engine power (104 "horses" in Base and 141 horsepower in the other two trim levels).
The cost of "Chevrolet Cruz" ranges from 570 thousand for the basic configuration to 740 thousand for a model equipped with all sorts of add-ons.
