Royal racing, which is popularly known as Formula-1, does not leave millions of people indifferent all over the planet. Someone is captured directly by the course of the competitions themselves, and someone is simply delighted with the participating cars, each of which is called “Formula 1 car”. If we talk about these cars in a few words, then in the world of motor sports they are the most advanced from a technological point of view, the fastest and, therefore, the most expensive. No one can match the speed on the circle with such machines, which is largely due to the highest downforce, which is provided by the aerodynamics of the car.

The term "fireball" itself originally came to us from the science of astronomy, in which it denotes a bright meteorite or celestial body. Now this word is so widely used in the world of cars that it just got used to it and is interpreted as an open-wheel car, separated into a class that is separate from other cars. The first Formula 1 car was officially born in1950, but its counterparts competed at the European Grand Prix as early as 1920.

The oldest among all is the Ferrari team, whose cars have changed the most. Formula 1 cars developed actively and changed very often. If you take and compare two cars of the same Ferrari team with a difference of 10 years, you can clearly see that they are completely different.

Now, as more than sixty years ago, the design features and technical characteristics that a Formula 1 car must comply with are determined by the rules of the competition. It is in it that all, even the slightest, nuances regarding the construction of the car, the volume of its power unit, tire sizes, and so on.

It is impossible not to note the fact that changes to the regulations are made annually. It is believed that the largest number of them were introduced in 2009. Then the engineers of all teams faced the task of building, in fact, new cars. The result of such innovations was a dramatic change in the balance of power of the competition, when high-speed, successful teams moved into the number of outsiders, and rather slow representatives of the races came in their place.

The car package includes about 80,000 elements. The base is the so-called monocoque, the production of which uses carbon fiber or carbon fiber. Note that each Formula 1 car has, as a rule, three separate monocoques. In front of it is the pilot's seat, made purely for a specific driver, and the frontsuspension. The rear is fitted with a gearbox, motor, deformable fuel tank and exhaust system.

A very important role for each car is played by aerodynamic elements that provide downforce. These include rear and front wings made of carbon fiber. In addition to all this, the car also needs electronics, mirrors, cables, suspension arms and so on. All this together costs a lot of money.

Many people are interested in the question of how much a Formula 1 car costs. The price depends largely on which team did the assembly. As practice shows, for small teams, a car costs several hundred thousand dollars, while larger teams need several million for it. Expensive and the current maintenance of cars, which reaches the mark of $ 20 million per season, during which the car covers about eight thousand kilometers. So it turns out that for some teams one kilometer costs at least $500.
