There are no structural differences from the block 11193-1002011 used on the motor 21124. The diameter of the hole for installing the piston pin is 18 mm. Fixation is carried out with the help of retaining rings, the installation of the connecting rod in the piston - with a minimum clearance. This ensures the smallest displacement of the connecting rod axis along the crankshaft journal.
Crank mechanism
Honing is obligatory - applying a small pattern in the form of a grid on the inner surface of the cylinder liner. To drive additional equipment - a generator, a power steering pump, a poly V-type belt 1115 mm long is used, it has the designation 2110-1041020. If there is no hydraulic booster, then a V-ribbed belt of type 2110-3701720 is used, the length of which is 742 mm. If the car has an air conditioner, all equipment is driven by a belt type 2110-8114096, the length of which is 1125 mm.
Piston rings and pins

Engine connecting rod 21126

On the VAZ-21126, the engine has a lighter connecting rod than on the model 21124. The latest technologies are used in the manufacture. Length - 133, 32 mm. Part of the connecting rod blank is broken - a cover is obtained. Thanks to this method, it is possible to match the surfaces of the products as accurately as possible. The cover is fastened with bolts, the reuse of which is unacceptable. The connecting rod bearings are 17.2 widemm.
Engine cylinder head VAZ-21126
There are two camshafts and 16 valves in the block head, it differs from the 2112 model in that the platform for installing the automatic belt tensioner is slightly larger. The size of the platform for the exhaust pipe flanges has also been changed upwards. Valves, springs for them, hydraulic tappets and camshafts are exactly the same as on the 2112 model, there are no differences. Camshaft pulley designations:
- Two circles next to the teeth, on either side of the mark - graduation.
- One circle from the left side of the mark is the inlet.
With the help of hydraulic tappets, the clearances in the valve actuators are automatically compensated. Therefore, when operating a car with such a motor, there is no need to adjust the valve clearances. The original design of the newest type of automatic timing belt tensioning system, previously unused types of rollers were used. Belt of 137 teeth with a different type of profile. This entailed the installation of a new pump design, more efficient than previously used.
Fuel and exhaust systems
The catalytic converter used on the 21126 engine, whose performance is highly dependent on the exhaust system, uses a more advanced one. Its diameter is larger than on model 21124.
