The Seat Altea is a compact van produced by the Spanish automaker from 2004 to 2015. This model is a rare guest on Russian roads. But she is easily recognizable. And all thanks to its unusual sports image. Not every compact van can boast of such a look.

The Seat Altea is based on the A5 (PQ35) platform from VAG. The compact van looks very original, and that is why it has been repeatedly awarded for its appearance and design with various trophies. This car is 17 centimeters longer than the regular Altea. Thanks to this, it was possible to increase the volume of the trunk by 100 liters! But the number of seats remained the same. The remaining dimensions have not changed either, but the clearance has increased. Interestingly, Fritrek was equipped with a plug-in all-wheel drive system with a Haldex clutch. But the developers did not position the Seat Altea, the photo of which is presented above, as a crossover or even an SUV. This system has the same principle of operation as those installed on most SUVs. That is, under normal conditions, the model is 100% front-wheel drive, and in snow or mud, the rear wheels are connected.

The SEAT Altea Freetrack boasts an attractive interior. A person, looking inside, first of all will see combined seats with pronounced lateral support, upholstered in leather and fabric. Available in both petrol and diesel. The first includes a 150-horsepower 2.0 FSi, equipped with direct injection and a 1.6-liter engine that produces 102 hp. There are also two diesel engines. The first is a 140-horsepower, 2-liter. The second produces 105 "horses" with a working volume of 1.9 liters.

As the owners of "Seat" assure, a 1.6-liter engine is enough for city driving. If you want dynamics, you will have to buy a model with a 2 liter engine. By the way, the units work in tandem with a 5-speed transmission.

And now we can talk about the "Seat Altea" 2.0 "4x4". This is a very powerful car. Not surprising, because its motor produces 211 "horses". It works in tandem with a 6-speed DSG gearbox, which provides the model with good dynamics. In fact, the engine and transmission are so complementary that there is no need for manual control.
