Once a puncture is found, you can use a special sealant sold in almost every car shop. Do not rush to immediately remove a foreign object. Use the sealant in the following sequence:

  1. Remove the valve cap.
  2. Connect the can.
  3. Pump the sealant through the valve into the tire.
  4. Remove the item that caused the puncture.
  5. Inflate the wheel.

Remember that this type of repair is temporary. Vulcanization with sealant will only last a hundred kilometers, but this is enough for you to get to the workshop. Repair sealants are mainly sold in bottles, in the form of aerosols. They are designed to maintain the minimum pressure inside the tire, which will be enough to get to the tire shop.

You can get more reliability from repairing a tire with a harness. Have you found a puncture in a tubeless tire that does not contain any foreign objects? So, you can repair the tire with a tourniquet. This will require more effort than with sealant, but this method is of better quality and provides greater strength.

Installing a simple harness

To repair a tire with a harness, it is necessary to lower the pressure (deflate) the wheel to 0.5 atm. Then we take a spiral awl and insert it into the puncture, passing through the tire through, rotating clockwise in parallel. Such a manipulation clears the puncture site and separates the cord, and also frees up space for the harness itself. The spiral awl is not removed until the harness is installed.

Having cleaned and prepared the hole, we take the next tool for repairing tires with bundles - a special installation awl. The tourniquet is captured in the center, and then pushed into the puncture by 2/3. After fixing it, remove the tool with a sharp movement.
