Design

If the design of airless tires has a closed characteristic, then it is simply impossible to distinguish it from the usual standard options. At the moment, there are two types of such development.

Tires that have fiberglass as a filler, as well as those that received built-in spokes. They are made of polyurethane.

The first type of tires, as a rule, is created in a closed form. Otherwise, the filler can be lost while driving. However, it should be understood that the most effective work is shown by an opensystem. She got a lot more benefits. The second type of airless tire may not be to everyone's liking. The fact is that, firstly, they are expensive. Application of airless rubber

Serial copies can already be found on lightly loaded vehicles. We are talking about bicycles or scooters. In the industrial sector, similar tires are also used. They are installed on excavators. Sometimes they are used in wheelchairs. The reasons for this selective attitude are immediately clear. The fact is that at the moment you can ride on such rubber without exceeding a speed of 80 km per hour. If the indicator is higher, then, unfortunately, a vibration will appear that will interfere with the ride.

Michelin Model

The manufacturer Michelin was the first to produce civilian rubber of this design. It happened in 2015. This device was called the English word Tweel. If you decipher, it will turn out in Russian “tire + wheel”. Now the company creates airless tires from Michelin, which can be used on various special equipment and wheelchairs. That is, we are talking only about those transport devices that are too small in size and light in weight. As for the design, wheels were created from hubs that were attached to the axle shaft. Model from Polaris

Polaris is a competitor of the manufacturer described above. At the moment, it produces popular tires that are similar in design to Michelin airless tires. However, there are some differences.

The fact is that this manufacturer made sure that the spokes were arranged differently. They resemble bee axes. Other materials were also used in the development. Among the advantages of such a device, it should be noted that during movement such wheels can change their rigidity. This is obtained through the cells that make up this wheel. Due to this effect, the wheels will be as reliable as possible, and they will also overcome any surface.

Bridgestone

Another airless tire from Bridgestone should also be considered. This company made a special drawing. The spokes are twisted in the profile, so the design of such rubber will be as simplified as possible. Unfortunately, the manufacturer practically did not think about the materials. This design is made from recycled old rubber. Unfortunately, according to a statement from many buyers, this rubber model is not very successful. The fact is that the maximum speed of this design is only 64 km / h. The load capacity of the wheel is only 150 kg. Accordingly, this model can be used on golf carts, unfortunately, no more. But the model is quite interesting, albeit unfinished. You should pay attention to it when reviewing.
