SsangYong New Actyon car: reviews are numerous, informative and positive

In 2006, the Korean company SsangYong released a car that at the same time earned the title of original and stylish among connoisseurs, and ugly and "show off" - among opponents. This car was created as a crossover for young and active drivers who do not hesitate to stand out among others. The new car was named Actyon, and it was able to achieve recognition: SsangYong SUVs were talked about at the level of brands with significant sales.

In 2011, SsangYong stopped pretending to be super original and moved Actyon's developments to the base of their long-produced Korando model. Initially, the SsangYong Korando, produced since the early 90s, was a copy of the licensed Jeep CJ-7. But after grandfather was dressed in a new body, in which Italian roundness replaced English futurism. The new SsangYong Korando is the company's first SUV with a monocoque body rather than a frame-based chassis. This car in Russia and Europe began to be called New Actyon, and under the name Korando it is sold in Korea and Ukraine.

New Actyon-Korando andActyon have three other significant differences:

1. The New Actyon has a load-bearing body, as opposed to the frame-based chassis of the old Actyon.

2. The New Actyon has front-wheel drive with all-wheel drive, as opposed to the rear-wheel drive with all-wheel drive on the old Actyon.

3. The New Actyon has a 2.0-litre petrol engine that is economical but punchy in the initial rev range, as opposed to the 2.3-litre petrol engine of the previous Actyon.

Despite the short production period of the SsangYong New Actyon, reviews from owners from Russia and the CIS countries are numerous and interesting. The engines of these cars are praised, especially for good dynamics at low speeds. At high speeds, the car behaves with dignity, but does not cause enthusiasm. With regard to fuel consumption on the SsangYong New Actyon, reviews differed. Some praise the efficiency of diesel engines, especially on long trips, where the average consumption on the highway does not exceed 6.5 liters per 100 km. Trips in the city increase consumption readings - up to 11.5 liters in summer, up to 12.7 liters per 100 km in winter. But this is on an unrun engine, then the readings decrease.

The all-wheel drive forced connection system also raises questions and complaints. It must be turned on before the car stalls, at the first suspicion of an unfavorable section of the road.
