- disconnect the vacuum hose. If the pressure in the fuel system has not increased, then it is necessary to increase the vacuum in the pressure regulator. To do this, just connect a vacuum pump. Otherwise, replace the fuel pressure regulator;
- if the fuel pressure does not meet the specifications, it will probably be necessary to replace the regulator, fuel filter or fuel pump.
How to replace the fuel pump?
If the fuel pump fails, it must be dismantled. To do this, follow:
- Put the car on the handbrake.
- Disconnect wires from battery.

- Disconnect fuel wire hoses and petrol pump power connector.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the cover that closes the openings for servicing the fuel unit. It is necessary to ensure that debris does not get into the gas tank.
- Unscrew the nut fixing the power supply terminal of the petrol pump.
- Dismantle the fuel pump.
- Replace the coarse filter mesh.
- Change the fuel filter.
- Collect all removed parts.
It should also be noted that the replacement of the fuel pump must be carried out in compliance with safety regulations. Please note that the fuel in the engine may be under pressure. After the new fuel pump and other elements of this system have been replaced, you can start the car engine using the starter. Only after such scrolling will fuel appear in the system, and the engine can be started in the usual way.
Another important nuance in the operation of the fuel pump is the presence of fuel in the system. Experts recommend monitoring the level of this fluid. The red mark may be the limit.
