The Irbis Harpy motorcycle is very popular among the masses. This two-wheeled horse is produced in Chinese factories and exported to the country. Despite the complex system of distribution of competition in the motor market, "Irbis Harpy" is still not a potential opponent of the famous companies "Honda" and "Suzuki", which, in turn, have already firmly occupied the sales markets.

The produced equipment of the concern does not claim leadership among expensive motorcycles, the lot of Irbis is budget models. By the way, this brand has achieved unprecedented success in its industry. There are many good and worthy models in the concern's motopark, but the Irbis Harpy 250 won particular popularity. Origin story

"Irbis Harpy" –this is one of the last graduates of this plant. Namely, this model left the assembly line in early 2014. Already in the first months of sales, many learned what the "Irbis Harpy 250" is.

Reviews, mostly positive, grew by leaps and bounds. And this is no wonder. It is difficult to find truly budget motorcycles in the domestic market. And "Harpy" is already a proven product.

First Impressions

Of course, you can immediately see that the model is made in China. Cheapness is felt in everything. For example, the saddle trim is made of fake materials. Here and there you can see some minor defect in appearance.

Inhomogeneous paint leaks here and there. In general, all these shortcomings do not create any inconvenience. Therefore, shortcomings should be taken for granted.

Appearance

If you discard all of the above and not look closely, you can understand one truth: despite the fact that the "Irbis Harpy" is a budget motorcycle, its design is more like the appearance of expensive bikes. Immediately striking is the large number of chrome parts both front and rear. The round headlight is a hallmark of all Irbis.

It doesn't seem to be passed down from generation to generation. Above you can see the windshield. It is very well fitted here. After all, the low landing of this motorcycle does not give the driver stability. And any headwind, especially onhigh speeds, can bring great discomfort.

Pleasantly surprised by the presence of a double seat. That is, in the bike, thanks to good ergonomics, there was a place for a passenger. In addition, a comfortable soft back is attached at the back, thanks to which the rider will feel safe. Right under the seat is a motorcycle engine. On the sides it is covered with small plastic fences, but the main part can still be seen. Chrome-plated radiators jut out from the front like two cams.

Not to mention the exhaust pipes. What is special is their unusual structure. There are two tubes on each side of the engine, for a total of four. This is non-standard. But the manufacturer explains this by the fact that this design will allow better removal of exhaust gases, as well as moisture accumulating in the motor. The fuel tank conveniently accommodates all the devices that the driver needs. This is a speedometer, tachometer, tank level indicator and so on.

Motorcycle features

"Irbis Harpy" is a cruiser built on the basis of the classical school. It has everything a brutal bike needs. "Cruise" in translation from English - a walk. This iron horse was created just for this case.

Firstly, the main distinguishing feature of every cruiser, as already mentioned, is a low landing. Thanks to this, the rider sits straight, the back does not arch. The footpegs are pushed far forward, so that the driver's legs do not remain in a bent state. In this positionno part of the body gets tired. A high-mounted handlebar can easily identify a pleasure bike.

Powertrain

Despite its origin, the "Harpy" surprises with its performance. These bikes are perfect in every way. First of all, the main module, the engine, presents a surprise. The four-stroke petrol engine shows impressive performance. The total volume of all cylinders is two hundred and fifty-five cubic centimeters. The maximum power is also rather big: sixteen and a half cubic centimeters. It is worth clarifying that, both when accelerating and when shifting gears, there is no feeling of lack of power. All thanks to a well-tuned gearbox. By the way, it is mechanical and five-speed.

It is impossible not to notice the electronic contactless ignition characteristic of all Irbis. But, what is noteworthy, the kick starter pedal is also present in the equipment. This means that the motorcycle can be started as you like. If one module fails, you can easily use another. This is a big plus for designers.

"Irbis Harpy" is cooled by a liquid system. Namely, oil. Thanks to a good engine, the Irbis Harpy quickly and confidently picks up maximum speed, which reaches one hundred and forty kilometers per hour. One thing can be said about the "Harpy" - everything wouldgood if it wasn't for the bike's poor economy.

However, like all cruisers, this bike eats a lot. For a hundred kilometers, the Irbis Harpy consumes six liters of 92nd gasoline. A brand new motorcycle costs ninety thousand rubles. Prices for used goods are much lower.
