Not so long ago, Ford introduced a restyled version of the Ford Focus ST. The show was held at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The place was not chosen by chance, the car exudes speed and dynamics.

Let's start with the traditional 2-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. The power unit allows you to develop a maximum of 360 Nm thanks to 250 “horses”, which accelerate the car to a maximum of 248 km / h. The speedometer needle crosses the 100 mark, after 6.5 seconds from the start. The engine is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. Note that the specifications of the Ford Focus ST delivered to the United States of America are slightly better than the European versions. The motors of such machines produce 256 horsepower at 366 Nm of torque.

For the first time in the "Focus" line, the developers used a 2-liter Duratorq TDCi diesel engine as a power unit. Thanks to changes in the intake and exhaust systems, the developers managed to increase the power of the standard diesel (150 hp) by 35 units. With the help of a 6-speed manual transmission, the hatchback accelerates to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. The maximum speed for a charged diesel "Focus" is modest - 217 km / h.

  • ST3 is the richest and most expensive car. Salon exclusively with black leather seats. The dashboard is made of soft plastic, which is also pleasant to the touch.

As a security system, a standard set for this class is used with minor additions, due to the impudent nature of the car. A modern frontal obstacle warning system will not only notify the driver, but will itself begin to reduce the speed of movement. This function works only at low speeds (up to 50 km/h). Parktronic is included as standard, thanks to which it will be much easier to park in tight streets.

Also new is the stability control system, which allows you to keep the trajectory inlane.

Cost in Russia

Prices for a charged Ford Focus ST range from 1,200,000 to 1,500,000 rubles. Basically, it all depends on the version of the seats and the presence of bi-xenon headlights. Surprisingly, the station wagon will only be available in ST2 and ST3 trim levels.
