The debut of the five-door station wagon Ford Focus Wagon 3 took place in 2010 in Detroit, during the North American Auto Show. Despite the launch of mass production in the same year, the official sales of the model started only in May 2011.

Ford Focus Wagon cannot boast of excessive free space in the cabin: the rear seat is designed for only two passengers, but the fit in the model is more than comfortable.

The profile of the front seats is very successful, the seats themselves are equipped with lateral support and a wide range of settings, supplemented by an electric drive in top trim levels. The second row of seats is complemented by cup holders and armrests for greater convenience and comfort.

Dimensions

According to the European classification, the Ford Focus Wagon belongs to the C-class: the body length of the model is 4556 millimeters, of which 2648 are reserved for the wheelbasemillimeters. The height of the car is 1505 millimeters, the width is 1823 millimeters. Depending on the selected modification, the weight of the station wagon can vary from 1473 to 1655 kilograms.

The volume of the luggage compartment of the Wagon, by the standards of the segment, is average and amounts to 476 liters. The rear sofa can be folded in several asymmetrical sections, which allows you to increase the volume of the luggage compartment up to 1502 liters. A set of tools and a spare wheel are hidden in a special niche under the raised floor.

Specifications

Russian dealers offer station wagon with two four-cylinder petrol power units. The first Ford Focus Wagon engine is a 1.6-liter unit with a multiport fuel injection system with a choice of 105 or 125 horsepower, the second is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a 150 horsepower direct fuel injection system.

Paired with naturally aspirated engines, either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed PowerShift robotic is installed. The top power unit is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Chassis and steering

Ford Focus Wagon is based on a front-wheel drive platform with a transverse engine. High-strength steel is widely used in the body structure.

Standard McPherson suspension front, multi-link rear. The braking system is represented by disc mechanisms, front mountedvented counterparts.

Steering is represented by a gear-rack type complex with progressive characteristics, supplemented by an electric power steering.

Security system

The base Ford Focus Wagon includes options such as:

Version wagon with an engine capacity of 105 horsepower will cost an additional 12 thousand rubles, and with a 125-horsepower engine - 36 thousand rubles. An automatic transmission paired with any of the proposed power units is installed for 35 thousand rubles from above.

Trend Sport modification added:

The cost of this modification with a 125 horsepower engine and a manual transmission is 738 thousand rubles.
