The MAZ-555102 dump truck with a carrying capacity of 10 tons was created on the basis of the MAZ-5337 two-axle flatbed truck. The release of the dump truck began at the Minsk Automobile Plant in 1985 and is still being produced. The tipper chassis can be supplied without a body and a tipping mechanism for installation by third parties of various equipment (concrete mixers, garbage trucks in containers).

General Description

MAZ-555102 is equipped with an all-metal body with a usable volume of 12.5 cubic meters, it is designed to transport non-metallic bulk cargo. For unloading, the body is tilted by a hydraulic type mechanism. On the crossbars of the frame there is a single cylinder connected by a hinge to the base of the body. The hydraulic system is driven by a power take-off and a pump. A tank with 25 liters of oil for the system is mounted on the frame side member. Unloading can be carried out in three directions, the direction is selected by the pneumatic switch on the control panel.

There is a towing device for a dump trailer on the rear cross member. This version of the road train-dump truck is used whentransportation of agricultural goods.

The basic equipment of the car can be expanded with additional equipment. The list of options includes a creeper in the gearbox, systems for monitoring and (or) recording fuel consumption. To improve the characteristics of the MAZ-555102, it can be equipped with standard body extensions with a height of 300 mm. In this option, the useful volume of the platform increases by 3 cubic meters.

Chassis

Car suspensions on longitudinal semi-elliptical leaf springs. Shock absorbers are additionally used in the design of the front suspension. The rear suspension uses double leaf springs and an anti-roll bar.

Drum-type brake system with pneumatic drive. To increase reliability and safety, the brakes of the front and rear axles have a separate drive. Additionally, a compression-type engine brake is installed, powered by rotary valves in the engine exhaust system. Next to the towing device there is a connector for connecting the pneumatic system. Optional anti-lock braking system and speed limiter.

Engine and transmission

The dump truck is equipped with a YaMZ-236NE2 diesel engine with a power of 169 kW. A five-speed gearbox YaMZ-236P or an eight-speed gearbox model 2361 are mated to the engine (by separate order). Such a power unit provides acceptable technical characteristics of the MAZ-555102 - the machine develops a speed of up to 85 km / h at operatingfuel consumption within 26 liters per 100 km (at a speed of about 60 km/h).

At the request of the buyer, an autonomous heater PZhD-30 is installed on the dump truck. The use of such a device ensures trouble-free engine start at low temperatures (below minus 20 degrees). The principle of operation is based on heating the coolant and oil in a special boiler, heated by the flame of the heater burner. An additional pump is installed on the motor to circulate the coolant. To install the heater, a regular place is provided between the lower part of the radiator and the engine tray.

To transmit torque, a cardan shaft with an intermediate support is used. The rear axle has a double gear - the main gearbox and planetary gearboxes in the wheel hubs.
