How to extend the life of the gearbox?

Many GAZ drivers ask this question. But there are no secrets here: all that is needed for long and trouble-free operation of gears and shafts is timely diagnostics and troubleshooting, the use of high-quality oil in the gearbox, as well as compliance with the truck load recommended by the manufacturer (no more than 1.5 tons per three-meter chassis and no more than 1.1 tons for four-meter modifications). You also need to change the clutch in time and not tear the gears. Follow these rules and then you will definitely not need to replace the gearbox with a new one.
