Despite the change of generations, the Germans managed to maintain the former sportiness and assertive look of the car, and even bring it closerto the more prestigious SLS AMG-class models. The current generation of Mercedes SLK has the following dimensions: length - 4134 mm, width - 1810 mm, height - 1301 mm. Compared to its predecessors, the car has gained some weight.

Roadster specifications
On the Russian market, the Mercedes SLK passenger car is available in 4 variations of petrol engines. The youngest in the line is a 1.8-liter unit with a capacity of 184 horsepower. It is installed on a modification of the Mercedes SLK 200. A jerk from zero to “hundreds” with such an engine is estimated at 7.0 seconds. For cars with automatic transmission, this figure is 0.3 seconds more. At the same time, the maximum speed of the car is 240 kilometers per hour, and the average fuel consumption does not exceed 7 liters.
The second engine also has a working volume of 1.8 liters, but instead of 184 it develops 204 horsepower. Like the previous version, this unit has excellent dynamics and fuel consumption characteristics. "Maximum speed" is 245kilometers per hour, acceleration to "hundreds" is estimated at more than 6 seconds. For 100 kilometers, the car consumes an average of 6.5 liters of gasoline. Sufficiently economical "appetite" for such a car.
The SLK 350 version is equipped with a 3.5-liter gasoline engine with 306 horsepower. Despite the limitations in terms of electronic filling and an automatic transmission (the other is simply not available in this modification), its maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour, and it picks up the first “hundred” in just 5.6 seconds. At the same time, the average fuel consumption is about 7 liters per 100 km.
The most powerful in the line is a 5.5-liter unit with 421 horsepower. With eight cylinders under the hood, such a Mercy can accelerate to “hundreds” in just 4.5 seconds. At the same time, the “maximum speed” is about 250 kilometers per hour. If desired, the motorist can remove the electronic speed limiter from the dealer (of course, all this is not free), and then the maximum speed will increase to 300 or more kilometers per hour. True, hardly anyone can guarantee you economical fuel consumption and high safety during such a “flight”. By the way, this power unit was made on the basis of those that have been successfully practiced on Formula 1 cars for several years.
Road control
The handling of the German Mercedes SLK is simply excellent - the car instantly responds to the slightest movement of the steering wheel and perfectly enters turns even at high speeds. This is how he should bea real sports car – fast, comfortable and easy to drive. True, you have to pay for all this. What is the price for comfort in the case of the Mercedes SLK?
Prices and specifications
On the Russian market, the "German" is available in several configurations, among which the basic - SLK 200 - is affordable at a price of 2 million 290 thousand rubles. The SLK 350 version, equipped with a 3.5-liter unit for 306 horsepower, will cost a potential buyer 4 million 460 thousand rubles. The most expensive modification (SLK 500) will be available at a price of 3 million 250 thousand to 5 million 670 thousand rubles. The Mercedes SLK electric car, unfortunately, will not be available to our fellow citizens. The high price and low ground clearance are, perhaps, the two factors that make the use of this roadster on our roads unacceptable. Yes, plus the quality of the fuel - the constant content of various impurities and deposits will quickly disable even the most powerful 5.5-liter German engine.
