Most car owners love speed. But not all cars are able to satisfy such a desire. As a rule, there is only one reason - lack of power. Forcing the engine is a good way to fix it. Then the iron horse is able to turn into a thoroughbred horse, which will show the most enviable results. In addition, comfort will be noticeably increased, and driving pleasure will be increased several times.
Forcing the engine can be carried out in two ways: “brain flashing”, as well as “surgical intervention”. The first was called chip tuning. Here, the settings of the engine control unit are simply changed. The fact is that the manufacturer selects the "golden mean", which allows you to develop average performance over the entire range of engine speeds and loads. Forcing the engine allows you to shift the maximum performance closer to higher speeds. Thus, if earlier, for example, the maximum torque developed at 3000 rpm, then after flashingit will be developed, for example, around 5000. This is done in order to increase the acceleration dynamics, as well as the maximum speed.
But it should be remembered that such forcing the engine will lead to a serious loss of power "at the bottom", although if such measures are taken, then, most likely, operation at low speeds is not planned.
The second method involves boring cylinders for a larger volume, reducing the combustion chamber, installing lightweight parts, refining manifolds, power supply and lubrication systems. Let's take a look at all of this one by one.
Forcing the VAZ engine is worth starting with this, since they all have a rather small displacement. An increase in volume can be obtained by installing a crankshaft with a large knee, which will lead to a loss of revving. The increase in piston diameter cannot be infinite either, since the block is completely cast from cast iron. In addition, wall honing can only be carried out at a certain thickness, after removing this layer, the use of cylinders will be impossible.
Installation of lightweight parts has a positive effect on engine response, because it takes less energy to rotate and move them. In addition, the installation of lighter parts of the valve train reduces the speed of its response to the valve timing, which is useful for ventilation and power systems. The latter can also be attributed to the revision of the collectors, since it is the gases in the internal combustion engine thatdo all the work. Also, another air filter with a higher capacity is installed on the engine.
But, like all improvements, there are some drawbacks. For example, forcing the VAZ 2101 engine leads to a serious decrease in its service life. This is logical, because more energy that is transferred to the wheels wears out the piston group, which is the heart of the car. In addition, the clutch is worth considering, as it is not designed for high engine performance, and with the right forcing, they can almost be doubled.

The internal combustion engine is the heart of the car. The service life of the unit depends on the conditions under which it is used. But there are breakdowns that have nothing to do with the current state of the motor. This article will discuss what an engine water hammer is, why it happens and how to avoid this kind of breakdown. But first things first
Installation of another engine on the car. How to arrange an engine replacement on a car?
Very often, drivers who are not satisfied with the dynamic characteristics of the motor or its other parameters make the replacement of the power unit with a more suitable one. It would seem that everything is simple, but in fact it is far from it. Firstly, installing another engine on a car requires a large number of technical alterations. Secondly, do not forget about the documents, because the other internal combustion engine has its own serial number. But let's talk about everything in order
Why is the Check Engine light on? Why does the check engine light come on?
In the age of modern technology, the technical characteristics of a car provide for the presence of a large number of electronics. Cars are literally stuffed with it. Some motorists do not even understand why it is needed or why this or that light is on. In our article we will talk about a small red light bulb called Check Engine. What is it and why does the "Check" light up, let's take a closer look

The V8 engine appeared at the beginning of the 20th century. They reached their peak of popularity in the 1970s in the United States. Currently, such motors are used in sports and luxury cars among cars. They are characterized by high performance, but they are heavy and expensive to operate
What is engine life? What is the engine life of a diesel engine?
Choosing another car, many people are interested in equipment, multimedia system, comfort. The motor resource of the engine is also an important parameter when choosing. What it is? The concept as a whole determines the operating time of the unit until the first overhaul in its life. Often the figure depends on how quickly the crankshaft wears out. But it is written in reference books and encyclopedias
